Overview
Our client is seeking a hands-on Calibration Technician / Calibration Compliance Consultant to support the calibration team in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role involves performing equipment calibration, reviewing calibration certificates, and ensuring compliance with GMP and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong metrology or instrumentation calibration experience and be comfortable working in gowned cleanroom environments while performing physical calibration activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on calibration of instruments and equipment used in GMP manufacturing environments.
- Review internal and external calibration certificates to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and adjust instrumentation during calibration activities.
- Document calibration activities in accordance with SOPs, GMP, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with calibration technicians, metrologists, and external calibration vendors.
- Maintain accurate calibration records and support audit readiness.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, ISO, and internal quality standards.
- Work in gowned cleanroom environments as required.
- Lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs during calibration activities.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or instrumentation.
- Hands-on experience performing equipment and instrument calibration.
- Experience reviewing calibration certificates and ensuring traceability/compliance.
- Familiarity with GMP, FDA, ISO, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience working with external calibration vendors.
- Ability to work second shift (2 PM – 12 AM).
- Must be able to enter cleanroom environments and become gown qualified.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Description
We are seeking an individual who desires a career in gage calibration. The ideal candidate would have formal calibration training, such as military PMEL, etc., and have at least 3 years military calibration lab experience or 5 years of commercial calibration lab experience.

The Calibration Technician is responsible for performing routine and non-routine calibration of instruments and equipment used at the Client's facility. This role ensures that all critical systems operate within specified tolerances and comply with regulatory standards, including FDA, EU, GMP, and ISO guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform scheduled and unscheduled calibrations on a wide range of instruments, including pressure gauges, temperature sensors, balances, pH meters, and cleanroom monitoring devices, among others, and document properly in the CMMS.
· Maintain accurate and complete calibration records in compliance with cGMP and internal quality standards.
· Troubleshoot and resolve calibration issues, including out-of-tolerance (OOT) conditions, and escalate as necessary.
· Support investigations, deviations, CAPA, and change control processes related to calibration activities.
· Ensure calibration standards and reference instruments are maintained and traceable to national/international standards.
· Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits by providing calibration documentation and technical support.
· Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production teams to ensure equipment readiness and compliance.
· Follow and contribute to the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to calibration.
· Maintain calibration schedules and ensure timely execution to prevent overdue equipment.
· Adhere to all safety, environmental, and contamination control procedures in sterile and cleanroom environments.
· Assist with calibration SOP revisions.
· Work with data acquisition and validation equipment (e.g., process control equipment/controllers, Dataloggers, DC Analog/Signal Conditioners, and transducers).
· Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair test and measurement equipment in support of new projects.
· Provide on-site calibration support for equipment that is either too sensitive to move or is too large and not feasible to relocate.
· Work overtime when necessary to support high-priority requests or meet project goals.
· Perform preventative maintenance tasks related to calibration activities.
· Maintain a safe work environment; work in a safe manner following all safety SOP’s and wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
· Able to work safely in an environment containing hazardous chemicals, high and low temperature liquids, high-pressure liquids and gases, steam, and moving machinery.
· Able to check, respond to, and troubleshoot Equipment Monitoring System (EMS) & Building Management Systems (BMS) issues and alarms.
Basic Qualifications and Capabilities:
· Associate's degree or technical certification in Instrumentation, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field.
· Minimum of 2+ years of calibration experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
· Understanding of calibration principles, metrology, and regulatory compliance (FDA, EU GMP, ISO 17025).
· Excellent documentation and communication skills.
· Proficiency with calibration management systems (e.g., CMMS, Blue Mountain, Maximo)
· Ability & experience reading schematics, wiring diagrams & other technical documents.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Instrumentation and Calibration Engineer has the responsibility for ensuring the site’s production instruments are operating at optimal levels and properly maintained to data collection in an FDA regulated environment. The position will be primarily responsible for ensuring all instruments are maintained in a calibrated state. Additionally, the Engineer will support general troubleshooting of production equipment/utilities, and asset management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Support the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program through the creation of new PM tasks, evaluation of existing PMs for technical relevance to current asset problems.
- Help create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment operation, engineering analyses, PM and calibration tasks, that adhere to FDA and cGMP requirements.
- Support the management of the calibrations on production instruments, such as temperature sensors (RTDs/resistance thermometers), pressure sensors (electronic manometers, gauges), and other transmitters.
- Support root cause investigations to a detailed level required for an FDA regulated/cGMP environment, and translate these root causes to effective CAPAs that mitigate equipment risk.
- Assesses and monitors equipment for reliability of operation implementing necessary improvements
- Maintains system classification of incoming equipment with the system owner. Duties may include assembly of supplier operating and maintenance manuals, installation and operational qualification.
- Translate data from Root Cause Centered Maintenance (RCCM) data to support Autonomous Maintenance program. Train Operations personnel in Autonomous Maintenance.
- Maintain calibration records, and qualification of calibration contractor.
- Manages risk to achieve organization's strategic objectives in areas of environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality, and production.
- Conducts risk analyses routinely when production equipment is functioning outside of expected parameters
- Develops Total Cost of Ownership, Mean Time to Failure, Life Cycle Cost, Mean Time to Repair, specific to critical equipment in the production areas.
- Runs process improvement projects from design thru implementation. Apply Root Cause Centered Maintenance (RCCM) to develop improved preventive maintenance tasks.
- Executes changes through to completion, from initiation of change controls to revising SWIs, coordinating work with Maintenance/Engineering, etc., to close out of CCs
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure that reliability is integrated into all aspects of the organization
- Participates in and execute qualification and validation of equipment and processes
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 3 years of experience in a related or similar field, or
- Associate’s degree in an engineering or scientific discipline and at least 5 years of experience.

Job Title: MEP Engineer – Capital Projects

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced MEP Engineer – Capital Projects to support the successful execution of capital project initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations and systems meet design specifications, performance expectations, and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, compliance knowledge, and hands-on experience in inspection, validation, and documentation within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and document compliance of MEP systems with design specifications, URS requirements, and regulatory standards
- Inspect electrical equipment installations and wiring methods to ensure adherence to approved designs and local code requirements
- Validate installation quality and ensure alignment with vendor specifications and engineering standards
- Review instrument calibration certificates and ensure proper documentation of calibration activities
- Perform loop testing and support commissioning activities for electrical and instrumentation systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and project management to ensure seamless project execution
- Identify and report deviations, non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions
- Support documentation processes including validation protocols, reports, and compliance records
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated industries
- 5+ years of experience in MEP engineering within capital projects or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and wiring standards
- Experience with installation verification, commissioning, and validation processes
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, codes, and compliance requirements (e.g., NEC, GMP environments preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of URS (User Requirement Specifications) and validation lifecycle
- Prior experience working on large-scale capital or greenfield projects
- Certification or training in Six Sigma, Quality Assurance, or related disciplines
