SUMMARY: Directly supervises production employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

- Follow up investigation & TOR completed with the department manager within 24hrs.
- Accountability for fire drills & tornado drills, where applicable.
- Equipment Facilitator
- Manages & is responsible for operations of assigned machines 24 hours a day.
- Housekeeping, implementation & maintaining the 5s program.
- Conduct meetings daily with assigned personnel.
- Review Safety Concerns, Maintenance Concerns, Production #s, and Customer complaints.
- Responsible for evaluating employees assigned on shift.
- Look ahead on the schedule & have run conditions for jobs.
- Coordinate with maintenance the work orders & PMs.
- General Responsibilities
- Facilitate on the job training and instruction for team members on the correct use of tools and equipment to ensure proper safety and operating procedures are followed.
- Management representative responsible for all plant operations on off shifts and weekend operations.
- Approves color matching for presses on scheduled shift, where applicable.
- Strong communication with Department Managers on all process and personnel issues.
- Makes decisions concerning troubleshooting and employee issues.
- Knows, understands, implements, & enforces plant procedures and policies.
- Processes shift reports from production and waste on scheduled shift.
- Analyzes production and improves process where opportunity exists.
- Sign off on Finishing run sheets ensuring correct specs are maintained and schedule is accurate on night shifts.
- Leads teams formed to deal with production, manufacturing and safety issues.
- Daily 5s shift audits.
- Daily production status report
- Ensure Raw Material Rejections have required MFG data to process. Coordinate priorities and efforts of maintenance and the engineers
- Inspecting & sign off on all retains & ensure that good quality product is being produced.
- Cylinder check sheets.
- Adjust crews accordingly to minimize OT but still meet goals.
- OK sheets filled out & check off.

The Manufacturing Team Leader will provide manufacturing leadership to deliver a world-class operation at the Reed City, MI, Yoplait facility. The Manufacturing Team Leader will lead, mentor, and develop employees to achieve outstanding manufacturing results while leveraging continuous improvement tools and working cross-departmentally to troubleshoot and mitigate production inefficiencies.
The Manufacturing Team Leader must have flexibility with their working hours and will be primarily working 8-hour shifts on 2nd shift. Weekends are worked on a rotational schedule with the other Manufacturing Team Leaders and are typically 12-hour shifts (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday). The Manufacturing Team Leader must be able to flex their hours to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift to support plant scheduling needs, complete project work. Proper notice will be given before moving shifts

Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Educate, develop, and motivate a manufacturing work group to achieve required production results, improving individual technical skills, and enabling collaboration across boundaries
- Facilitate, coach, counsel, and guide the manufacturing work group to ensure that they are able to deliver results year-over-year through the use of continuous improvement tools and strategies
- Flex hours across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts (if required) to support plant scheduling needs, to complete project work
- Develop and lead projects that will save on costs, reduce waste, improve safety, or improve production/sanitation key performance metrics throughout the plant
- Schedule operators and maintenance resources according to plant production needs
- Ensure that production facilities and finished products meet the company and government standards for quality, sanitation, and safety
- Be an incident commander in the event a pressing safety, maintenance, quality, or production incident occurs. Contact the necessary resources to help manage the incident
- Working closely with line teams and supporting department personnel to drive production results, drive out losses, and support R&D or improvement initiatives happening on the off-shifts across all platforms

POSITION PURPOSE

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Conducts an initial assessment to gather data.
- Makes an initial assessment of new admissions within 30 minutes of the patient’s arrival to the unit.
- Completes all areas of the admission assessment database within 24 hours of admission.
2. Identifies patient problems and develops them into an outcome/goal-based plan of care.
- Initiates the patient problem list and incorporates relevant medical history into the plan of care.
- Analyzes and interprets the assessment data to identify desired patient outcomes/goals.
- Determines nursing interventions to achieve those outcomes/goals.
- Prioritizes patient care needs/ activities.
- Identifies and makes appropriate referrals (i.e., Patient/Family Services, Nutritional Services, Spiritual Care, Diabetic Educator, etc.), and education needs.
- Collaborates with other health care disciplines to plan interventions/ patient outcomes/goals.
3. Implements the outcome/goal- based plan of care.
- Assigns and coordinates patient care incorporating patient acuity and the skills, knowledge and abilities of the team members.
- Organizes and prioritizes care for the patients within the team.
- Delegates tasks appropriately to other team members.
- Implements the plan of care including procedures, treatments, physicians orders, nursing orders, education plan and medications.
- Coordinates implementation of plan of care with the Case Manager, Social Worker and other health care disciplines.
- Assists to decrease the patient’s length of stay by helping the patient and family identify and secure appropriate services to satisfy health-related needs upon discharge.
- Uses nursing judgment to determine the appropriate frequency and components of reassessment.
- Reassesses at regular intervals to determine patient response(s) to interventions (minimum RN reassessment every 24 hours).
- Focuses ongoing reassessment on actual and potential problems/needs of the patient including education and discharge needs.
- Participates in develop discharge plan.
- Documents discharge instructions for patient and/or significant other and/or other care provider.
4. Evaluates patient progress and revises the outcome/goal-based plan as needed.
- Evaluates patient response(s) to interventions.
- Review/modifies/revises the outcome-based plan of care based on ongoing reassessments.
- Updates the problem list and outcomes/goals.
5. Communicates relevant clinical information to the team to optimize patient outcomes/goals.
- Communicates relevant clinical information to physicians regarding the patient’s condition.
- Reports progress toward outcomes/goals and/or changes in condition to other health team members.
- Maintains ongoing communication with interdisciplinary team members throughout the shift, at shift change, and transfer of care.
- Communicates with other team leaders and members throughout the shift to reassess and prioritize the needs of the unit.
- Documents completely, comprehensively and legibly and in accordance with policy.
6. Demonstrates clinical competence.
- Utilizes Patient Care Policies and Procedure as references to guide nursing practice.
- Assures medication safety by following the “5 Rights” of medication administration.
- Prioritizes and implements intervention according to patient assessment.
- Demonstrates competency in computer systems and applications required for role.
- Receives, transcribes and processes and implements physician orders per policy including dating, timing and verifying accuracy.
- Maintains communication with the manager/house supervisor and staffing office regarding admissions, unit needs, acuity numbers and significant events.
- Completes assigned shift duties and assures resolution of discrepancies.
7. Manages telemetry and cardiac monitoring when applicable.
- Demonstrates clinical competency and technical knowledge in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring.
- Recognizes and responds appropriately to cardiac arrhythmias and other changes in patient condition.
- Must be capable of managing multiple patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
- Provides appropriate interventions for patients experiencing cardiac events or changes in rhythm.
- May be required to assist with data collection and quality improvement initiatives.
- Must be willing to serve as a resource to other hospital services (nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, respiratory, etc.).
- May be asked to participate in unit-based committees and provide education to nursing staff as requested.

POSITION PURPOSE
Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions. Through evidence-based practice, utilizes critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcome-based care. The Acute Care RN manages a diverse patient population with varying levels of acuity, including post-operative, medical, telemetry, and neurologic patients. Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, and other nursing team members. Facilitates communication with physicians, patients and families, and interdisciplinary team members. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Conducts an initial assessment to gather data.
Makes an initial assessment of new admissions within 30 minutes of the patient’s arrival to the unit.
Completes all areas of the admission assessment database within 24 hours of admission.
2. Identifies patient problems and develops them into an outcome/goal-based plan of care.
Initiates the patient problem list and incorporates relevant medical history into the plan of care.
Analyzes and interprets the assessment data to identify desired patient outcomes/goals.
Determines nursing interventions to achieve those outcomes/goals.
Prioritizes patient care needs/ activities.
Identifies and makes appropriate referrals (i.e., Patient/Family Services, Nutritional Services, Spiritual Care, Diabetic Educator, etc.), and education needs.
Collaborates with other health care disciplines to plan interventions/ patient outcomes/goals.
3. Implements the outcome/goal- based plan of care.
Assigns and coordinates patient care incorporating patient acuity and the skills, knowledge and abilities of the team members.
Organizes and prioritizes care for the patients within the team.
Delegates tasks appropriately to other team members.
Implements the plan of care including procedures, treatments, physicians orders, nursing orders, education plan and medications.
Coordinates implementation of plan of care with the Case Manager, Social Worker and other health care disciplines.
Assists to decrease the patient’s length of stay by helping the patient and family identify and secure appropriate services to satisfy health-related needs upon discharge.
Uses nursing judgment to determine the appropriate frequency and components of reassessment.
Reassesses at regular intervals to determine patient response(s) to interventions (minimum RN reassessment every 24 hours).
Focuses ongoing reassessment on actual and potential problems/needs of the patient including education and discharge needs.
Participates in develop discharge plan.
Documents discharge instructions for patient and/or significant other and/or other care provider.
4. Evaluates patient progress and revises the outcome/goal-based plan as needed.
Evaluates patient response(s) to interventions.
Review/modifies/revises the outcome-based plan of care based on ongoing reassessments.
Updates the problem list and outcomes/goals.
5. Communicates relevant clinical information to the team to optimize patient outcomes/goals.
Communicates relevant clinical information to physicians regarding the patient’s condition.
Reports progress toward outcomes/goals and/or changes in condition to other health team members.
Maintains ongoing communication with interdisciplinary team members throughout the shift, at shift change, and transfer of care.
Communicates with other team leaders and members throughout the shift to reassess and prioritize the needs of the unit.
Documents completely, comprehensively and legibly and in accordance with policy.
6. Demonstrates clinical competence.
Utilizes Patient Care Policies and Procedure as references to guide nursing practice.
Assures medication safety by following the “5 Rights” of medication administration.
Prioritizes and implements intervention according to patient assessment.
Demonstrates competency in computer systems and applications required for role.
Receives, transcribes and processes and implements physician orders per policy including dating, timing and verifying accuracy.
Maintains communication with the manager/house supervisor and staffing office regarding admissions, unit needs, acuity numbers and significant events.
Completes assigned shift duties and assures resolution of discrepancies.
7. Manages telemetry and cardiac monitoring when applicable.
Demonstrates clinical competency and technical knowledge in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring.
Recognizes and responds appropriately to cardiac arrhythmias and other changes in patient condition.
Must be capable of managing multiple patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
Provides appropriate interventions for patients experiencing cardiac events or changes in rhythm.
May be required to assist with data collection and quality improvement initiatives.
Must be willing to serve as a resource to other hospital services (nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, respiratory, etc.).
May be asked to participate in unit-based committees and provide education to nursing staff as requested.
8. Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.
9. Collects, analyzes, interprets and applies age-specific data.
Performs tasks/procedures, uses equipment in an age-appropriate manner.

Pay Range: $32.74 - $49.11 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
