Position title:
Instructor (Non-Senate, Non-Tenure Track)
Salary range:
The compensation model varies depending upon the course delivery format. For a synchronous Live Online course, a reasonable estimate for this position is $2,200 - $2,300 total per course. For an asynchronous Fixed Date Online course, this position is paid $160 - $175 per enrolled student and a reasonable estimate ranges from $1,280 - $4,375 total per course. For an asynchronous Start Anytime Online course, this position is paid $160-$175 per final student course grade submitted each month; a reasonable estimate ranges from $800 -$8,750 total per course; and monthly payments typically begin within 6 months after the course start date. Instructor compensation is determined by course length, number of units, enrollment, budgetary considerations, and other factors.
Percent time:
Part-time by agreement on a course-by-course basis.
Anticipated start:
Some appointments may begin as early as the spring semester.

UC Berkeley Extension (UNEX), the continuing education branch of the University of California, Berkeley, has been building bridges between UC Berkeley and the public since 1891. UNEX serves the professional and continuing education goals of thousands of people each year and plays an essential part of the University mission to: extend the research and scholarship of UC Berkeley to a global community; increase access to higher education for non-traditional, online, and international students: and improve the workforce. UC Berkeley Extension is a part of the division under the leadership of the Dean of Extended Education that also includes Berkeley Summer Sessions, Berkeley Study Abroad, and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
UC Berkeley Extension invites applications for a pool of qualified, dynamic instructors with a commitment to professional and continuing education in Editing and Technical Communication to teach one or more online courses each year for our Arts and Humanities department.

- Online instruction is delivered asynchronously through our learning management system (Canvas) or through synchronous live lectures (Zoom).

General Duties
The department seeks candidates who can support the success of all students through inclusive curriculum, classroom environment, and pedagogy. Specific duties and expectations will vary depending on the method of instruction including: Synchronous Live Online (Zoom) or Asynchronous Online (Fixed Date or Start Anytime).
- For synchronous instruction (live online courses), duties include but are not limited to: syllabus development; assignment development; lesson planning for class meetings; preparing and submitting required texts and course materials; reviewing and updating Canvas course site; and delivering lectures, presentations, and learning activities for all required hours of instruction.
- For asynchronous instruction (fixed date or start anytime online courses), duties include but are not limited to: reviewing the syllabus and pre-populated online course content; learning and utilizing Canvas classroom management tools; and requesting any training needs from the Program Director or Department Director.
- For all instruction (regardless of course format) duties include but are not limited to: completing required trainings as mandated by the UC Presidential policies; responding to student questions and learning needs in a timely manner; grading student assignments and posting final student grades to the instructor portal in a timely manner; utilizing University-approved course support platforms including the Canvas Learning Management System, Zoom, Instructor Portal, Google Workspace, etc.; reviewing and following University and departmental policies, logistics, and other guidelines as published on the departmental Instructional Resource Site; and responding to other requests from the Program Director or Department Director in a timely manner.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent international degree required.
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
- 3 or more years of professional industry work experience since degree.
- 1 or more years of teaching experience since degree.
U.S.A. Residency and U.S.A. Work Authorization: All work must be performed in the United States, whether in person or online. Position Summary
As a Communications Designer, Global you are an important part of the creation of the most appropriate communications plan for your client to achieve their business goals. You are responsible for helping to strategize, produce and make sense of the key media, consumer and market intelligence required to your clients' connections plan. You have a passion for brands, media and ideas, and within the team are considered the go-to-person on the latest news and innovations going on in media.
In this role, you will develop, recommend, execute, and evaluate digital media plans from inception to completion with moderate oversight from the Manager. The Communications Designer should be able to work fairly independently once given project parameters, goals and budgets to develop a sound recommendation with clear rationale.
Responsibilities
- Contributor to impactful communications plan development to meet client needs and deliver communications idea
- Attend regular client status meetings, creative statuses and maintain on-going rapport
- Analyze and provide clients with research data and media/marketing information; including real-time opportunities to ensure our clients are remaining competitive
- Provide communications and audience intelligence and data inputs through the application of syndicated and proprietary systems for communications design goal setting and decision making
- Provide partner selection recommendation and justification designed to deliver on client KPI's using the most sophisticated use of data and analytics, via multi-faceted, strategic partnerships, while delivering maximum strategic value and efficiency
- Develop the RFPs and oversee the submission process with media partners
- Develop industry and partner POV's with Manager's oversight
- Oversee all production timelines, creative development and creative hand-offs to ensure campaign launches on time and without issue
- Evaluate partner proposals, negotiate plan details, develop plan and ultimately present plan recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients
- Oversee campaign implementation, optimization, and performance of campaign activities including authorizations, IO's, budgets, creative, reporting and the billing and reconciliation process
- Manage all partner specific budget allocation, optimization, media partnership programs and added value details

About the Writing and Communication Program at the Georgia Institute of Technology
A unit of the School of Literature, Media, and Communication (LMC), WCP teaches over 6,000 students a year in first-year composition, business/technical communication, research writing, and learning support. Committed to excellent teaching and faculty professional development, WCP is the winner of multiple awards in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Job Summary
The Writing and Communication Program (WCP) in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for multiple Lecturer positions, effective August 1, 2026. Lecturers in the Writing and Communication Program teach a 3/3 in writing classes, pursue relevant research, and provide service to the Program and Institute. This is a faculty position with full benefits that is renewable annually. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE & THE ROLE
Palo Verde College (PVC) is a publicly supported two-year community college serving approximately 7,000 students annually through in-person, online, correspondence, and hybrid modalities. Key Responsibilities
Event Experience & Coordination
Assist in the planning and execution of internal and client-facing events such as employee engagement activities, client appreciation events, and brand activations.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the planning and coordination of internal events, client events, and brand activations
- Assisting with event timelines, project plans, and coordination across teams
- Researching venues, vendors, and event solutions to support event execution
- Helping manage invitations, registrations, and guest communications
- Preparing event materials, presentations, and guest lists
- Supporting on-site execution to ensure a smooth and high-quality experience for attendees
- Assisting with post-event follow-ups, reporting, and feedback collection
These initiatives support the broader event strategy aimed at creating memorable experiences that reinforce the company’s brand and deepen relationships with clients and employees.
Internal Communications & Endomarketing
Support internal communications initiatives designed to strengthen company culture and keep employees informed and engaged.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the development and distribution of internal communications such as announcements, newsletters, and internal campaigns
- Supporting the management of internal communication calendars and messaging schedules
- Drafting and organizing communication materials for internal initiatives
- Helping coordinate employee engagement programs and internal events
- Supporting initiatives that recognize employee achievements and strengthen workplace culture
- Assisting with daily requests and communications needs from different areas of the bank related to events, engagement initiatives, and internal communications
These activities help ensure employees remain informed, engaged, and aligned with the organization’s values and business objectives.
Content & Project Support
- Assist in preparing presentations and communication materials for internal initiatives and events
- Support the development of branded templates and event collateral
- Organize documentation, assets, and materials related to campaigns and events
- Help track project progress and maintain organized records for initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
The intern will collaborate with multiple areas across the organization, gaining exposure to how internal communications, culture initiatives, and brand experiences support broader business objectives.
This includes supporting initiatives that involve teams such as Marketing, HR, leadership, and other internal stakeholders.

Qualifications
Preferred:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Interest in event planning, internal communications, or marketing
- Basic to intermediate image manipulation (i.e. Canva)
- PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
Language Requirements:
- Fluent in English and Portuguese is required
