District Medical Group, Inc., (DMG), a large multi-specialty faculty practice group is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to work in the Valleywise Health Arizona Burn Center in Phoenix.
At Arizona’s only nationally verified burn center, you would be part of a multidisciplinary team of medical, surgical and behavioral health professionals that treats thousands of patients each year and provides the highest level of patient care from initial treatment through rehabilitation. This is an academic setting with opportunities for participation in research. DMG and Valleywise Health are core partners in the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible position with a weekday work schedule.

Candidates for the position of psychologist for the Burn Center must have a degree in clinical psychology, expertise in health psychology, and be licensed or eligible for Psychology licensure in Arizona. The psychologist functions as an integral part of the burn care team, participating in daily rounds with the rest of the care team and providing inpatient and outpatient clinical assessments and therapy. Experience in providing psychological care in a medical setting is preferred, as is expertise in treatment of post-traumatic and pain conditions. Clinical research experience is beneficial, but not required. Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills; be able to work with other caregivers as a team; be able to assess and treat individuals of all ages; and be willing to participate in the education of a variety of learners (medical students, nursing students, PA/NP students, surgical and ED residents, EMTs, military medics, firefighters, etc.) encountered on the Burn Unit. Faculty appointment is available at the Creighton University School of Medicine and the University of Arizona School of Medicine in Phoenix.
A candidate must be a licensed psychologist in the State of Arizona prior to beginning employment.

Job Summary:
FVCA camp staff are responsible for the general supervision and engagement of all campers in both our kids and teen camp programs. They provide a structured positive and safe environment for them to experience God in a camp setting. Our goal is to help our children explore nature, play games, bond with other campers, have fun but most importantly learn about Jesus Christ in an extraordinary way. Being patient, knowledgeable of camp activities and having the ability to build good relationships with children and teens are three essential traits for our staff.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Supervise, guide, love, and care for a group of 7-10 campers at a week's time during the entire summer season at FVCA.
- Consistently engage with campers throughout the day and week including discussions over meal time, cabin devotionals, chapel and other planned activity sessions.
- Always create and maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere throughout the Summer camp.
- Empower, serve, encourage, love and support all campers consistently.
- Follow all guidelines of FVCA, including the philosophy, goals, and objectives and also follow all of FVCA’s safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain the safety of campers at all times, placing their welfare and interest above everything else.
- Help campers become more aware of God in each aspect of their lives so they are capable of continued growth on their own after camp.
- Assist with program evaluation at the end of each session and at the end of the summer.
- Assist in all scheduled program activities in the various areas of the camp when requested.
- Assist with recreational and educational activities (such as swimming, hiking, canoeing, crafting etc.)
- Escort and oversee children to cabin or activities when necessary.
- Educate campers through games and explorations.
- Resolve occasional fights between children and address behavioral issues.
- Ensure camping sites are clean and that campers don’t litter in recreational areas or nature paths.
- Perform basic first aid or take care of injuries as needed.
- Complete accurate incident reports, camper report logs and meal count documentation.
- Attend all staff meetings and morning staff devotionals daily.
- Assist with camper morning and night-time routines.
- Take part in helping with the check-in and check out process of all campers off site.
- All camp staff will be asked to do other different tasks and or assignments as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications:

Hours of Work
During the 9 weeks of summer adventures, attendance is extremely necessary for all staff positions. Staff are seasonal positions that support a mandatory staff to camper ratio. Please give us at least a month notice for any requested days off throughout the summer.
Typical day is 7-8 hours per day between 9am - 5pm. Monday - Friday's between, June 29th - August 28th. Work schedule may fluctuate during periods of low attendance and poor weather/air quality days. Training Days and times will be scheduled in the middle of June.
Working Conditions & Physical Activities
- Performs work in settings indoor and outdoor, including multipurpose rooms, parks, playgrounds, beaches, trails, and recreation sites.
- Exposure to extended periods of direct sunlight and/or cool and damp weather is possible. Exposure to insects and wildlife is possible when out on a trail in our region. Staff will receive training and other preventative measures upon hire.
- Walk/Hike 3-5 miles for four days consecutively.
- The job requires frequent light lifting and carrying (15-20 lbs.) up to five miles, and infrequent heavy lifting of up to 50lbs.

Education and Experience
Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
Education or volunteer experience in recreation activities highly desired.

Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to provide customer service and communicate with participants, parents, supervisors and co-workers.
Ability to implement and direct activities that meet the needs of the community, with limited direct supervision.
Ability to communicate and work with a variety of organizations to schedule activities, ability to be responsive and accommodate unforeseen events. Effective problem solving skills.
Awareness of community resources and other available activities and programs as related to age groups.
Possess current knowledge of rules and regulations for the area and age group of assignment, which include senior programs, adult and youth sports, youth sports and day camp, youth volunteers, adult and youth special classes and special events.

Special Requirements
This position requires the ability to work flexible hours.
Depending on assigned area, ability to possess and maintain a valid drivers' license. Ability to drive a 15 person passenger van.
Recreation Leaders assigned as day camp leaders or sports coaches must maintain First Aid/CPR certification.
Oregon Food Handler card may be required.
Travel among City worksites, off-site trainings and meetings.

The complex is a unique expansion of the existing swimming and diving venue built for the 1996 Olympic Games. Campus Recreation provides a premier recreation fitness center, aquatic center, recreation fields, and leadership challenge course for the Georgia Tech community. Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting the Assistant Director for Competitive Sports and Competitive Sport Coordinator with the organization, supervision, and facilitation of Tech Wreck Summer Programming. Plan, organize, and implement fitness programs. Provide group fitness classes, instructional classes, or personal training. These classes may include activity course sections, aerobic exercise, weight training, dance, martial arts, flexibility, and other various conditional formats. Specific duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: faculty, staff, students, vendors, and visitors.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Facilitate Tech Wreck Summer Programming activities and supervise campers.
Job Duty 2 -
Ensure Tech Wreck Camp Counselors and Participants are Adhering to Georgia Tech and CRC risk management policies and procedures.
Job Duty 3 -
Assist with day-to-day operations of the Tech Wreck Summer Programming.
Job Duty 4 -
Document injuries or incidents as they occur and communicate those to the Camp Directors.
Job Duty 5 -
Perform other duties as assigned.
