A Typical Day...- Receives operational data for entry into the client's bookkeeping system and determines the best method to record the financial information, such as income, expenses, returned checks, bank charges, and labor hours/codes. Manually records information into the bookkeeping system.
- Ensures all checks are endorsed properly and deposited into the proper account each day. Prepares all charge card transactions on the day received. Reports all income and bank charge and information.
- Balances and reconciles ledgers, which will become part of the client's general ledger system. Reconciles cash and bank accounts on an agreed-upon basis, comparing account balances to other recorded sources.
- Develop detailed reports on a periodic basis for the business client regarding business income, business expenses, gross taxes, and other reports, as needed.
- Perform payroll services as requested by the business client account including preparation of payroll checks, preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual employee and employer payroll reports. Prepares payroll in accordance with local, state, and federal wage and hour laws.
- Maintains a manual file system to store the hard-copy documents after entry into the record keeping system.
- Identifies issues with current process and notifies management of potential concerns and potential solutions. The client is also notified of any issues, concerns and solutions related to the maintenance of the client's financial records.
- Participates in meetings and training sessions to continuously improve the bookkeeping service provided to the client.
- Attends training related to the effective and efficient performance of job duties.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Legal Practice Assistant, working under the supervision of the Office Manager, provides a wide range of administrative, clerical, and document services to support the workflow and client service needs of attorneys and other timekeepers. Job duties require close collaboration and working with other assistants to and lawyers in the performance of a variety of administrative and practice specific duties as assigned. The Legal Practice Assistant is a non‐exempt position. The hours are 8:45 am – 5:15 pm, Monday ‐ Friday and additional hours as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Collaborates with firm assistants and other teams to provide designated and "as needed" administrative services to assist in delivering exemplary service.
- Creates, edits, formats, and proofreads a wide variety of documents, including memoranda, correspondence, legal, and court documents.
- Receive assignments from attorneys and others, performing tasks as requested; update requestor regarding receipt and status of tasks/projects, and consistently meet agreed upon deadlines.
- Input attorney time into the WebTime time entry program. Stay up to date regarding client-specific billing requirements. Assist timekeepers with maintaining appropriate time entry requirements and standards through outreach and communication.
- Work with the Billing department in all aspects of the billing cycle, including but not limited to the review of client billing for accuracy, edits to content/grammar; resolution of billing problems; and efficient changes to the process.
- Accurately prepare and input attorney expense reimbursements and process client-related vendor invoices for payment.
- Sort, open, prioritize and route incoming mail. Prepare outgoing mail including U.S.P.S., U.P.S. and Federal Express. Coordinate messenger pick-ups and deliveries when necessary.
- Coordinate meeting set-ups, including but not limited to conference calls, Zoom and Teams meetings and in-person meetings.
- May assist with the organization and planning of events. Assists with collection of marketing materials.
- Coordinating with attorney talent team, may obtains approvals and coordinate attendance for outside training programs (MCLE).
- Assists with creating and maintaining client/matter and communication lists.
- Maintain calendar and contacts for attorneys. Maintain electronic filing system via Outlook.
- Perform document conversions, e.g., PDF to Word, etc.
- Handle telephone calls from internal and external sources including taking accurate messages and appropriately routing calls.
- Coordinate prints, scans and duplicating projects with Digital Document Center or Print/Mail Service Centers.
- Coordinate travel arrangements (air, hotel, rail, car rental and black car) with firm-provided travel agency.
- Coordinate the New Matter Intake process. Prepare, finalize, and distribute new client Engagement Letters, New Business Memo, etc. Including follow-up with client to ensure receipt of fully executed Engagement Letter. Initiate Conflicts Checks.
- Perform other related duties, special projects, and assignments as required.
- Provide back-up support and vacation coverage.
- Proactively follows-up with managers and colleagues for feedback on projects completed and requests for additional assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in basic computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet business needs. Ability to work overtime as needed.
- College degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for maintaining the highest quality standards for the menu by being well-versed in the recipes, plate & product specifications, and cooking techniques of the menu.
They need to be familiar with and drive sanitation regulations and showcase those standards within the operation.
They support and create a culture with the staff to ensure that the guest experience and financial health of the business are in line with the standards, vision and goals of Block 3, and that their team embodies Apres Cru Hospitality’s values.
In this role they will be responsible for consistently executing signature dishes according to existing recipes and collaborating on new ones that help define the restaurant and resonate with guests creating new regulars.
This position is also accountable for having a direct impact on the profitability of the operation.
They will be responsible for managing a large inventory of perishable food items and maintaining cost control & labor % while not compromising on standards.
They will need to be able to recruit, hire, lead, coach, and develop the kitchen and FOH staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner at the highest level of quality.
The chef is also accountable for properly educating the team, both FOH and BOH, on menu knowledge.
The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for developing key hourly employees and sous chefs to further deepen our talent pipeline.

Leverage technology and systems to forecast, track, order, receive, schedule, cost out labor and recipes Work to help foster a professional relationship with all vendors and resolve any issues that arise.
Properly execute menu rollouts and plan for a successful implementation.
Take ownership of the restaurant’s R&M needs and be able to communicate effectively Follow through to keep all restaurant equipment in satisfactory, working condition.
Lead and uphold a best in class approach to human resources, safety, food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness practices in the restaurant.
Partner with the GM to create proper staffing levels and schedules that achieve excellence in operations while taking care of the bottom line.
Employee Development: Identify/hire great people and develop them into great leaders.
Interview and approve all hiring for hourly kitchen employees for the restaurant.
Actively drive recruitment of talent to the restaurant; as well as retain talent by inspiring, teaching, and embracing a culture of development.
Ensure that operational and training standards are consistently followed and executed.
Effectively lead by demonstrating a professional approach with coworkers through great leadership skills, ethics, and team development.
Conduct talent reviews and performance evaluations on a timely basis; provide clear, transparent, honest feedback to the team on performance measures and recommend promotions or set corrective actions when appropriate.
Effectively identify and develop internal talent with success to help with the overall company’s need for a talent pipeline.
Support continued education of hourly team members by being involved in daily training demos, line ups, and tasting sessions.
Hold all employees accountable to Block 3’s cultural values, goals, and standards.
Properly communicate and create an environment where new company initiatives are supported and embraced by the staff.

Your Expertise:

This individual will manage case files to formulate next course of action and represent the firm and its clients at pre-trials, trials, mediations and other court appearances with travel required.
Qualified candidates:
