Job Summary

Full-time litigation and administrative support to assigned condemnation and municipal law attorneys. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a heavy workflow in a fast-paced law firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, proofread, and maintain complex legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and case summaries
• Prepare, respond to, and organize discovery requests and productions
• Manage and maintain multiple attorney calendars, including hearings, mediations, trials, and docket control deadlines
• Assist with case management, including opening files, organizing digital records, and maintaining matter-specific databases
• Track and enter billable time accurately and promptly
• Conduct legal and factual research as needed

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced, certified paralegal to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigation paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced, independent environment and wants meaningful, substantive work — not busywork. You will work directly with the principal attorney and play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the practice. This is a remote, part-time position. We strongly prefer candidates who are based in Arizona, as occasional in-person meetings in the Phoenix area may be required.

What You Will Do

• Conduct legal research across federal and state jurisdictions

• Draft and assist in preparing motions, pleadings, and litigation documents

• Manage PACER filings and federal court docketing

• Provide litigation support under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP)

Mount Hood Medical Center has a 10-bed medical surgical intensive care unit located in the heart of Gresham, Oregon. We are the only ICU in East Multnomah County. Our ICU provides care to patients who are at high risk of developing life-threatening problems as a result of complicated medical processes, renal or respiratory failure, GI bleed, congestive heart failure, pulmonary edema, neurologic dysfunction, or complex surgical procedures.

Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer.

Education: 

As required by licensure.  BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.

Experience:

One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration.  Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized.

ICU experience required.

Hire on bonus and relocation assistance provided for experienced ICU RN's with one year or more of ICU experience.

Our primary care providers are supported by individually assigned MAs as well as care teams that can include panel coordinators, social workers, RN case managers, and behavioral health clinicians and pharmacist.

This is a Supportive APP role. LMG Primary Care utilizes Advanced Practice Providers in this role to extend a group of primary care providers capacity and improve access by:

• Helping to manage the Epic In-basket (patient messages, medication management, diagnostic results and orders, and responding to urgent issues)
• Seeing routine follow-up patients which improves access and decompresses the schedules of other providers, allowing them to see more new patients
• Seeing same day urgent care type issues which mitigates disruption to the daily schedule, improves access and patient satisfaction.

Qualification and Licensure Requirement:

• Graduate of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Minimum of 2-years? experience.
