Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a dual-modality CT and X-Ray role at an orthopedic specialty hospital in Manhattan, requiring ARRT R & CT certifications, NYS licensure, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

- Inpatient and outpatient orthopedic specialty hospital setting in Manhattan
- Dual-modality role performing both CT scans and X-Rays
- Daily caseload of up to 20 patients across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- X-Ray procedures include extremities, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging
- Experience with portable equipment required; caseload includes both exam room and portable imaging
- May be rotated across multiple departments within the hospital or at an affiliated off-site location across the street
- Regular schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 2:30 PM to 12:00 AM (4x9-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch)
- Training schedule for the first two weeks is Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Epic EMR experience preferred but not required

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years of CT and X-Ray technologist experience
- Active ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required at time of consideration
- Valid, active NYS license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
- IV Certification required at time of consideration
- Current BLS required
- Experience operating Siemens CT equipment required
- Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, and adult ICU settings
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or move patients and equipment in excess of 150 lbs, with or without assistive devices
- COVID vaccination required — no exceptions

Additional Information

- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- RTO of 5 days or less is permitted; no RTO approved within the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Former travelers must have been away for at least 1 year before returning to this facility
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Complimentary parking is available in an assigned employee garage upon badge pickup; street parking is also available
- Charcoal grey scrubs required
