Patriot Truss & Components is looking for an experienced Truss Manager. This role is responsible for helping oversee daily plant operations. This includes managing staff, production goals, quality control, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality, safety, and efficiency on the production floor
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure deadlines are met
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and communicate daily with management
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift 50 pounds daily

Requirements

• The minimum work week to consist of Monday-Friday (normal hours 7:00AM-4:00PM)
• Additional hours may be required at times to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of basic building concepts and math calculations
• Be tentative via phone on vacation in case of an emergency
• Attending weekly meetings as needed. If a meeting cannot be made a 24-hour notice will be needed

Truss Designer/Sales Team Member to join our team. We’re looking for someone who not only understands truss design but also thrives in a team-oriented environment and brings energy to both inside and outside sales. If you’re ready to work hard and grow your skills, we’d love to hear from you.

Duties

• Design roof, floor, and wall trusses for residential and commercial applications
• Collaborate with builders, contractors, and internal team to meet customer specs and deadlines
• Assist with both inside and occasional outside sales efforts
• Provide outstanding customer service and clear, professional communication
• Maintain accurate and timely project documentation and revisions

Requirements

• Have 3–5 years of truss design experience, including both residential and commercial projects
• Have Alpine software experience (highly preferred, but we’re willing to train fast learners)
• Be personable, outgoing, and a strong communicator, able to work well in a team setting, and interact professionally with clients
• Be comfortable working 40–50 hours per week as needed to meet deadlines
• Be willing to relocate to the Fargo, ND area
• Be prepared to submit samples of prior design work without delay

Position Purpose:

CDL Drivers are responsible for the transportation of trusses and other building materials from the warehouse to its final destination in a timely and safe manner.

Primary Role Expectations:

• Responsible for delivering material to customer locations/jobsites using the most efficient route available.
• Ensure that delivery schedules are met while providing a friendly and professional service.
• Assist with loading/unloading of materials.
• Maintain electronic driver logs
• Comply with All Federal and State DOT highway rules and regulations.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.
• Determine the condition of vehicle by inspecting the vehicle before and after use. Log the inspection and report any defect issues to the Logistics Manager immediately.
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Three (3) months experience performing these or similar tasks; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Majority of loads are blanket permitted oversized loads (8'6\" to 11'6\")
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Experience maintaining required logbooks
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
• Must have Class A CDL License
• Knowledgeable of FMSCA regulations
• Familiar with Federal and State DOT highway rules and regulations.
• Clean driving record.
• Agree to random testing by the DOT for screening.
• Strong ability to work effectively with diverse individuals from management, customers, and coworkers.
• Must be available to work Monday - Friday (occasional work on Saturday) (all drivers are home daily)

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Must be able to lift at least 80lbs frequently throughout shift (Lifting anything over 100lbs requires additional personnel and utilizing a dolly or forklift if possible)
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Walking, standing, climbing, squatting, bending, lifting, and kneeling are all required physical aspects of the job
• Must be able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions

The Outside Sales Representative represents the company providing sales and customer service at the customer’s site; facilitates generating sales by gathering data for technical staff related to customer needs and design specifications and acting as company liaison. Spends majority of daily activities away from employer’s place of business making sales calls and obtaining orders or contracts for services and products.

This is a base salary position +commission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops knowledge of effective sales techniques, familiarity with industry and understanding of products and services, as well as knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Attends company-sponsored training programs, as well as conferences, trade shows and meetings of professional organizations to expand knowledge.
• Accompanies more experienced Outside Sales Reps or Sales Manager on customer calls to become familiar with effective sales and customer service techniques.
• Develops understanding of customer’s needs and matches those needs with company products and services.
• Presents to customer’s information on various products and services offered by the company.
• Identifies potential customers and develops understanding how products and services will meet their needs.
• Pursues leads and gathers market intelligence on opportunities and competitors.
• Develops sales presentations for current and prospective customers, subject to review and approval by Sales Manager or more senior Outside Sales Rep.
• Conducts sales presentations to provide customers clarification how the company can meet their specific requirements.
• Prepares product quotes for customers.
• Prepares required recurring and special reports, forms or other documentation.
• Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or coworkers.
• Attends periodic safety meetings as required and may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
• Carries out other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or related field preferred
• 2+ years industry sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
