Implements an appropriate section and/or shift-specific Quality Control Program and maintains all applicable Quality Control and Functional Verification records.

Is responsible for monitoring test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.

Reviews the work done by technologists/technicians working in the section(s) or shift(s) assigned to ensure a minimum of errors and corrective action in the interest of good patient care.

Refers clinical problems to the laboratory director, manager, or supervisor as appropriate.

Assures that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.

Ensures that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the test system is properly functioning.

Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots all equipment in assigned section(s) to keep in good working order; makes minor repairs andadjustments when necessary; initiates and follows through with Biomedical Engineering/equipment manufacturer for safety checks and repairs; schedules preventive maintenance within the section with Biomedical Engineering, equipment manufacturer, or an outside contractor.

Prepares and submits routine or special administrative and technical reports by due dates as required, requested, or delegated.

Orders and maintains inventories for all necessary supplies and reagents in assigned section(s) to always have an adequate amount on hand.

Trains new technologists and technicians in the assigned section(s) procedures and policies and provides subsequent training in all new or revised procedures and techniques for assigned shift(s) or provides remedial training as necessary.

Responsible for maintaining orientation records on new associates.

Assists the Director/Manager in designing, implementing, collecting, and analyzing data, and reporting all phases of a comprehensive performance improvement program that involves laboratory personnel in Performance Improvement activities.

Prepares and conducts in-service education either formally or informally for assigned section(s) and shift(s).

Provides input on personnel for hire, fire, transfer, interview, disciplinary probation, etc; counsels and documents technical deficiencies.

Performs skills review and competency assessments and maintains appropriate documentation on all technical personnel as delegated by the Laboratory Manager/Director.

Oversees and enforces expectations of personnel in assigned section(s).

Participates in proficiency testing surveys; reviews and evaluates results and maintains copies of survey records in section(s).

Utilizes and has a thorough working knowledge of the Laboratory Information System and applications thereof.

Demonstrates competence to perform assigned patient care responsibilities in a manner that meets the population-specific and developmental needs of patients served by the department.

Appropriately adapt assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.

Processes patient specimens, including collection, handling, and distribution always cognizant of minimal pediatric specimen volumes (when required).

Performs all routine and complicated laboratory procedures in the primary section which assigns age (Pedi) or sex-specific values.

Provides notification and documentation of critical laboratory values obtained.

Calculates, enters, and/or verifies results of laboratory procedures.

Performs all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary for the performance of assigned job duties.

Keeps abreast of Medical Technology, by reading Journals, texts, and technical bulletins; attends workshops and seminars; becomes active in localprofessional associations.

Reports to Manager of Emergency Department. The Emergency Department Paramedic is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders.
As an integral member of the Emergency Department team the Paramedic will support treatment in the hospital emergency department (ED). The paramedic will be required to assist with patient care treatment at the direction of the physician and/or the Registered Professional Nurse (RN) that directs plan of care, team goals, and performance. The paramedic shall cover the range of services provided in a medical treatment facility in accordance with O.C.G.A. 31-11-59 which outlines the services of paramedics in hospitals and defined hospital specific duties. In addition, the paramedic promotes and restores patients' health and the overall patient experience by collaborating with physicians, RNs, and multi-disciplinary team members, and providing support to patients, families and significant others. The ED Medical Director oversees the scope of practice of the paramedic in the ED in accordance with the Georgia Paramedic Scope of Practice and the Wellstar Paramedic Scope of Practice.
It is expected that all Emergency Department Paramedics possess a Georgia paramedic license and the national registry certification for paramedics. The paramedic must be knowledgeable and adhere to the scope of paramedic practices as outlined in the Georgia Department of Human Resources Division of Public Health Office of Emergency Medical Services scope of practices. As a member of the patient services team, it is expected that the individual upholds the voice of the patient, system policies and procedures while supporting service excellence goals.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Patient Care
- Assists medical and nursing staff with the care and treatment of Emergency patients
- Assists in the intake process by greeting and interviewing patients and inputting pertinent medical information into the computer system.
- Performs and assists nursing and medical staff in various diagnostic testing and procedures such as performing EKG, placing patients on the cardiac monitor, venipuncture, point of care testing, wound care, applying orthopedic devices and equipment, applying splints and casts and other duties assigned within the scope of practice.

The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager as applicable) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. The Medical Support Specialist will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment. The Medical Support Specialist follows guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provides center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

As a Security Host/Hostess, the main goal is to provide a safe and secure environment that enables our guests, cast members and vendors to experience the magic of Disney.
Responsibilities :

* The Security Host/Hostess performs protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and professional manner while dealing with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, threats to life and property
* As a first responder, will be trained on Infant, Child and Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defribrillator (AED), Stop The Bleed Training and fire extinguisher procedures to respond to emergencies as needed
* Conduct interior and exterior Resort foot patrol to identify undesirable conditions
* Evaluate a situation and quickly make logical decisions on how to proceed while maintaining a calm demeanor
* Investigations, including evaluation of the scene, interviewing complainants and witnesses, involve correct personnel to assist with the investigation
* Documentation and report writing
* Maintain order in the Resort while attending to the needs of our guests, cast members and vendors
* Coordinate expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, alarms, safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational, persuasive manner
* Handle violations of Resort policy, civil laws and undesired conduct
* Work with state of the art technology to detect and respond to safety systems
* Provide cash escorts for cashiers to/from cash room to their work station
* Respond to security and emergency calls and prioritize the work in a timely manner
* Use of complex consoles to receive calls from guests, cast members and vendors requiring assistance and dispatches to resolve situations will maintain logs of all requests
* Provide key assist
* Issue contractor and visitor badges
* Monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system for any unusual activity and dispatch via two-way radio
* Provide accurate information to guests, cast members and vendors seeking directions and hours of operation
* Receive, record and secure found property will also research and respond to guests inquiries for lost property
* Escort guests and cast members as required to parking lots

Basic Qualifications :

* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Valid State of Hawaii Guard Card
* Excellent communication skills
* A successful candidate will have experience as a first responder related experience that best aligns with the day to day operation may include:

* Hotel/Resort Security Guard/Officer experience
* Successfully completed basic training in the Military
* Loss Prevention and/or Plain Clothes Operatives experience
* High pressure situational experience such as Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighter, Flight Attendant

* Strong verbal, written and technology skills required
* Keyboarding skills 25 WPM
* Investigation skills
* Perform general clerical duties using Microsoft Office and other site specific programs
* A good sense of direction as will learn and memorize Resort layout to include the locations of fire pull stations, fire extinguisher, AED, standpipes and more
* Self-directed (can complete tasks with minimal follow up/supervision)
* Maintain strong observation skills with high level of detail and scrutiny for entire shift

Preferred Qualifications:

* Associates Degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Private Investigations, Homeland Security, Emergency Management and/or Emergency Medical Services
* Strong understanding of Hawaii Revised Statues; particularly those that apply to Hotel/Resort destinations (such as trespassing, etc.)
* Knowledge of Hawaiian/ Japanese language
