Job Overview
The R&D Test Engineer is responsible for being the lead in development of test methodology and test plan development supporting the verification and validation testing for medical devices, including improvements. This position will also support the authoring and execution of test protocols. This position is an individual contributor role.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Mechanisms/Test
Castelion is seeking an expert in the manufacture and design of complex mechanisms for our in-house hypersonic vehicle development. This role will work closely with design engineering and technician teams to build and execute on testing and validation efforts to keep pace with the research and development timetable of our products. You will be apart of a team responsible for serving as a critical node in implementing feedback from testing and validation efforts, streamlining designs and implementing manufacturing changes to quickly mature our products for flight testing and production. We’re looking for an Assembly Integration and Test Engineer to join our team, support all assembly integration and test activities across all our programs and products. This is a hands-on role that will involve close collaboration with a cross-disciplinary team etc.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of aerospace components, subsystems, and full systems
· Develop and execute test procedures, plans, and documentation to ensure compliance with technical and quality standards.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, systems engineering, and quality to resolve integration or test anomalies.
· Support environmental testing (vibration, thermal vacuum, EMI/EMC, etc.) and data analysis to validate system performance.
· Ensure accurate configuration control and documentation of hardware and test setups throughout the program lifecycle.
· Assist in troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions during assembly or testing phases.
· Interface with suppliers or test facilities as needed to support test activities or deliverables.
· Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards in a cleanroom, high-reliability environment, and radiation environment (X-Ray)
Mandatory Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerospace assembly, integration, or test.
· Strong understanding of aerospace hardware handling, contamination control, and verification processes.
· Excellent communication and documentation skills.
· Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
· Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership; able to take initiative, work independently, and tackle unfamiliar or ambiguous technical challenges with minimal guidance

· IPC J STD 001G, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies
· IPC A 600, Acceptability of Printed Boards
· NASA STD 8739.1, Workmanship Standard for Polymeric Application of Electrical Assemblies
· NASA STD 8739.4, Workmanship Standard for Crimping, Interconnecting Cables, Harnesses, and Wiring
· ANSI/ESD S20.20, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Control
· Radiation Safety Training (X-Ray Cabinets)

In this role, you'll perform hands-on electrical testing and troubleshooting of switchgear, relays, and power systems. Wage: $38.00 – $44.00 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Duties of the electrical test technician:
- Perform testing of electrical equipment, switchgear, and 3-phase power systems
- Conduct factory witness testing
- Assist with redline and schematic updates
- Test relays, circuit breakers, ATS's
- Document test results accurately
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards
Requirements of the electrical test technician:
- 2+ years of experience testing electrical equipment and systems
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints
- Understanding of electrical theory, controls, and low/medium voltage systems
- Experience with PLC/HMI preferred, but not required
- Diesel generator power control experience a plus
