Key Responsibilities:

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00 - $172,000.00 *This pay range is for a 40 hours/week schedule. The Nutrition Care Specialist III performs a variety of specialized duties to support the nutrition support department. Responsibilities include assisting Registered Dietitians (RDs) and Nutrition Care Specialist I & II in coordinating enteral nutrition (EN) and supporting patient care management. The role involves processing and managing enteral nutrition orders within the EMR system, coordinating the timely delivery of formulas and supplies, and maintaining accurate patient records. Nutrition Care Specialist III also troubleshoots supply and equipment issues, manages inventory, and supports compliance with clinical, operational, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:
- Enteral order entry and refills:
- Accurately enter orders into the EMR system, including processing the initial dispense, supply ticket, and faxing orders to home health.
- Calls patients to coordinate the timely and accurate delivery of enteral formula, equipment, and supplies, prioritizing the PHD program.
- Assist with maintaining the enteral census.
- Prioritize utilizing the preferred enteral formulary of Nestle.
- Process order changes and calculate formula amounts based on an ordered supply amount.
- Provides patient education on home enteral nutrition including formula use, tolerance troubleshooting, and EN pump operation and programming.
- Comply with the 90-day pump preventive maintenance protocol to meet ACHC standards.
- Coordinate care with RD, MD and home health agencies.
- Obtain updated weights, patient formula/supply inventory at home, patient compliance and any enteral feeding issues, and relay them to the Registered Dietitian as appropriate.
- Support non-dietitian, patient-related issues within the Nutrition Care Specialist III scope.
2. Nutrition Support Duties
- Participate in Medicare qualification processes for home EN and PN.
- Assists Registered Dietitians (RDs) with Medicare Infusion Initial Assessments.
- Reviews medication profiles and collaborates with pharmacists or RDs on medication reconciliations.
- Support the RDs with staying compliant with reviewing and signing enteral work orders in a timely manner.
- Provides troubleshooting for tolerance issues within scope of practice.
2. Perform data entry:
- Perform data entry of patient medication profiles to maintain ACHC standards.
- Discharge patients from EMR system at the end of therapy.
3. Enteral team liaison:
- Act as liaison for the Enteral team with the Nutrition Support department.
- Communicate with doctors, nurses, and hospitals regarding patient care
- Able to communicate well with the pharmacy staff, nutrition support team and supervisor.
- Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
- Participate in the pharmacy’s Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.
- Participate in pharmacy committees when requested.
- Participate in in-service education programs provided by the pharmacy.
- Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities and certification requirements.

The Company
Our client is a unique clinical site network that focuses on studies in Alzheimer's, Dementias, and Parkinson's disease. They pride themselves on developing strong relationships with clinical sites to bolster up their resources, quality, and patient care in these key therapeutic areas.
Responsibilities
You will be coordinating, collaborating and providing expertise in support of clinical research drug trials including accurate and efficient dispensing of medication, leading a team of pharmacy techs, maintaining overall responsibility for pharmacy operations, and working with the study team (PI, CRCs, Site Managers, etc.)
- Review protocols and work with principal investigators to implement dispensing, compounding and billing procedures.
- Maintain a pharmacy binder which contains a study summary, protocol, dispensing procedures, completed samples of required paperwork, dispensing checklist, fee schedule, billing procedures and any other relevant materials for each investigational trial
- Management of the inventory; orders, replaces and returns study materials, as required.
- Assist in ensuring the participation of the pharmacy department in all clinical trials which involve drugs.
- Monitors pharmacy activities to ensure adherence to study protocols and dispensing procedures
Qualifications:
- PharmD Degree, new grads encouraged to apply!

- Willingness to cross train in Clinical Research Coordinator responsibilities
