What You'll Do:

As a marketing intern, you will collect and evaluate market data, develop and test marketing strategies, and present actionable insights and recommendations. You will present results and implementation recommendations to leadership in collaboration with the team.Specific responsibilities include:

Position description

We are generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach regular and Summer Session courses, should an opening arise. In addition to lecturing responsibilities, general duties for these positions include laboratory teaching, holding regular office hours, assigning grades, advising students, and preparing course materials and exams.



We are also seeking applicants for Teacher Special Programs (TSP), should an opening arise. TSP instructors will be responsible for overseeing capstone projects in the Master of Engineering (MEng) program in the Department Mechanical Engineering. This includes: design and propose capstone projects and help match students into suitable projects. Meet with each capstone project team on a regular basis to review results, manage interpersonal aspects, and maintain efficient progress. Provide critical, constructive feedback on students' written reports and oral presentations. Coordinating and participating in the MS Plan II exam of each student at the end of the capstone project period. This pool encompasses engineering science and technology specializations relevant to both mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering.

Salary range:
The compensation model varies depending upon the course delivery format. For a synchronous Live Online course, a reasonable estimate for this position is $3,000 -$4,000 total per course. UC Berkeley Extension (UNEX), the continuing education branch of the University of California, Berkeley, has been building bridges between UC Berkeley and the public since 1891. General Duties

The department seeks candidates who can support the success of all students through inclusive curriculum, classroom environment, and pedagogy. INTERNSHIP DETAILS

  • Duration: June 2026 – August 2026
  • Time Commitment: 40 hours a week

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

During the Summer 2026 Buying/Merchandising internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience as a member of our Buying team within the Furniture/Wood category. Reporting to a Buying Leader, you’ll be directly involved in the buying process – driving business strategies, working on seasonal line plans, conducting competitor and sales analyses, and assisting with product launches and store communication. This role will give you exposure to multiple parts of the business as you collaborate cross-functionally with product development, planning, industrial design, sourcing, marketing, and store operations.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting Buyers with tasks such as SKU creation and maintenance
  • Clear knowledge of target customer and competitive market
  • PIM (product information) maintenance
  • Product Launch / Store Product Request Maintenance
  • Manage time sensitive deliveries of sample and stock product need at Marketing Photo Shoots and Mock Store reviews
  • Partner with Buyers on special projects as needed. Competitor Recaps, Assortment Board Creation, etc.
  • Assist in coordinating specific tasks related to Store Opening process

Requirements:

  • Has completed Sophomore year +
  • Fashion Merchandising or adjacent major
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – emphasis on Excel & Outlook
  • Excellent Time Management skills
  • Prior experience in retail inventory software is a plus.
  • Customer Service or prior retail experience is a plus.

Overview

As a summer associate, you will be introduced to the skills necessary for a successful insurance career at AmTrust North America by working closely with our Underwriting Team. Throughout this internship, you will build a foundational background and robust overview of different lines of business within Underwriting with some exposure to our Customer Experience, Risk Control and Product Teams. You’ll interact with various stakeholders to learn multiple facets of the underwriting process. Participate in weekly professional development and training workshops.

Qualifications

Required

  • Rising Senior (graduating December 2026 or May 2027) actively pursuing bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide information in a clear, concise manner with an appropriate level of detail, empathy and professionalism
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Effective analytical skills to gather information, analyze facts, and draw conclusions
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA; additional requirements may apply


Preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to analyze/reason through complex problems and make sound recommendations while consistently demonstrating honesty, integrity, courtesy and respect when interacting with others


The expected compensation for this role is $25/hour
