POSITION OVERVIEW
The Chief Development Officer (CDO) reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the overall planning, design, construction, and ensuring the maintenance policy is established prior to handover to the maintenance team of all HAS physical infrastructure associated with the projects of the Major Projects Portfolio (MPP) (approximately $1.0B+ in value) to consistently provide world-class airport airside, terminal, and landside facilities developed and maintained to optimize sustainability and life cycle costs. Additionally, providing oversight of the Permitting processes (TIP & BSG) for an annual construction budget of $1.2B, which could include interfacing with other City entities to ensure proper interface and code alignment.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Capital Improvement Program Management(specifically for the MPP, but can be extended to whatever is instructed by the Director)
- Oversee the planning, design and construction of all projects within MPP' CIP plan
- Ensure all projects are constructed within anticipated schedules and within budget
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead a staff of over 60 team members plus extended staff
- Promptly deliver all construction projects within HAS' airports and spaceport
- Responsible for the management, development and engagement of team members within the MPP Division
Stakeholder Engagement
- Meet with key stakeholders, including airport staff, local government officials, and community leaders
- Understand needs and concerns related to airport development
Strategic Planning & Communication
- Conduct a thorough review of HAS' current capital improvement program as related to the MPP
- Identify areas requiring adjustments
- Develop an improved communication strategy to ensure stakeholders are regularly updated on project status
- Leading the AI effort relative to project execution and delivery enhancement
Project Implementation
- Develop comprehensive plans for implementing new development projects (timelines, budgets, resources)
- Identify key performance indicators to measure project success
- Establish monitoring systems to ensure objectives are met
Program Coordination
- Oversee and coordinate with IAH Terminal Redevelopment Program Executive Program Management (ITRP EPM) team as the project progresses through the closeout and handover
- Implement project management control systems with the assistance of the Project Controls section
- Interface and provide guidance with the United Team relative to HAS standards and HAS stakeholders, interface on their behalf with COH, HPW, HCFCD as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS
PHYSICAL EFFORT: The position routinely requires lifting of moderately heavy items, such as typewriters or records boxes (up to 40 pounds) and/or very long periods of walking on rough surfaces on a routine basis.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: There are routine discomforts from exposure to moderate heat, cold, moisture/wetness and unpleasant air conditions. The position may involve routine exposure to soiled materials and light chemical substances such as cleaning solutions.
PHYSICAL SKILL: Requires the ability to make simple gross motor responses within large tolerances.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline would normally be obtained through a formal 4-year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Twelve years of experience in civil aviation, or experience related to duties to be performed, are required.
SUBSTITUTION: Four years of directly related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement.

Position Summary
The Director of Development, Leadership Giving brings proven experience stewarding annual donors and securing major gifts of $25,000 and above, including multiโyear and sixโfigure commitments. The Director manages all phases of the gift cycleโidentifying prospects, developing cultivation strategies, engaging volunteers and board members, soliciting support, and maintaining strong donor stewardship.
The Director proactively strengthens existing donor relationships and builds new ones. This role leads development projects, collaborates with colleagues to achieve strategic goals, and tracks and reports progress to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Development (AVP) and working closely with the Vice President of Development, the Development Team, executive leadership, staff, and Board members, the Director applies creativity and initiative to advance donor engagement and support major event-related fundraising efforts.

Fundraising Strategy
Work with the Associate Vice President of Development and the team to develop and implement strategies for leadershipโlevel donor acquisition and retention. Provide support in drafting and refining donor communications. Cultivate and sustain longโterm relationships with donors and prospects, including coordination with members of the Board of Directors. Employ structured โmovesโmanagementโ strategies to identify new prospects, advance them through the solicitation process, elevate giving levels, and ensure effective stewardship of event donors and sponsors.
Focus Areas
The Director has primary development responsibility for the Miami-Dade and Broward region, including the growth and management of the Miami Advisory Council, which is comprised of leading donors in the area. The Director also oversees the programming and engagement with the Foundationโs Chairmanโs Advisory Council, consisting of leadershipโlevel donors.. This regional portfolio requires focused engagement with individual donors, grantmaking foundations, and corporate partners.
Build a Robust Donor Base
Develop and manage a personal portfolio of major donors and highโcapacity prospects ($10,000โ$100,000 annually) to cultivate, solicit, and steward. Provide exemplary donor relationship management and ensure full adherence to all gift agreement requirements. Direct and coordinate special events and airboat tours that advance cultivation and stewardship objectives.
Communications & Follow-up
Provide timely, accurate responses to donors and deliver comprehensive updates on the Foundationโs programs, initiatives, and activities. This function requires close coordination with the Science, Advocacy/Policy, and Education teams, as well as ongoing collaboration with the communications, finance, and technical/data teams to ensure all donor communications are consistent, precise, and reflective of organizational priorities.
CRM Use & Expertise
Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and current donor and event records in the Foundationโs CRM system (Salesforce). Utilize the CRM to support and inform donor engagement, cultivation, and stewardship strategies.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree required; CFRE or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience with demonstrated success fundraising for a mid- to largeโsized nonprofit or equivalent related experience.
- Proven ability to solicit and steward gifts of $25,000 and above, including multiโyear and sixโfigure commitments, with a thorough understanding of all stages of the gift cycle.

Accountability

Position Objective:
The Product Development Manager role serves as a link between Design, Production, External Vendors/Mill and Sales/Merchandising. Each season, it is the Product Development Managerโs role to ensure sample yardage development is in line with our cost targets, timeline and brand material needs. Ideal candidate should have a strong sense of apparel construction, material sourcing and cost and clear understanding of development to production calendars. Must have great organizational skills and attention to detail. The Product Development Manager executes and communicates to suppliers/vendors our fabrication needs against the design color palette. Ownership of the fabric sample yardage request, material data sheet management, and communication of our company policies related to fabric.
Responsibilities:
- Manage fabric sample yardage WIP reports daily and keep relevant teams informed of any changes.
- Execute, update and manage the communication of all new fabric and color mini batch inquiries and distribute seasonal color palette.
- Follow through communication with supplier/vendors and overseas office on materials adopted for development (such as sample yardage guidelines, fabric detail sheets, traceability and pattern copyrights).
- Work with design to populate seasonal fabric cards for design boards.
- Distribute confirmed seasonal color palettes internally, overseas office and external supply chains.
- Review all sample yardage cuttings received against color standards. Request lab-dips on any colors not executed correctly on initial sample yardage.
- Work with VP of Fabric to ensure design team has proper fabrics for the season.
- Review all invoices related to sample yardage development at the end of each season.
- PD organization: This includes but is not limited to maintaining sample yardage seasonal binders and boards, tracking and logging in sample yardage references and managing incoming/outgoing color palette distribution.

Key Responsibilities
Recipe Stewardship & Production Oversight
- Maintain and consistently execute Seroogyโs established recipes, processes, and product standards.
- Train and support team members in confectionery techniques and product specifications.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for chocolate tempering, caramelization, enrobing, panning, and other confectionery methods.
- Partner with the Production Manager to ensure daily production runs meet quality, yield, and efficiency goals.
Technical Expertise & Equipment Mastery
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of confectionery and chocolate production equipment, including: melters, tempering machines, enrobers, copper kettles/stoves, batch cookers, cooling tables, depositors, cutters, panners, wrapping machines, and other specialized tools.

Qualifications
Required
