About the Metabolic Geneticist Position
The Department of Pediatrics at the Dell Medical School (DMS) at The University of Texas at Austin, along with its clinical partner Dell Children’s Medical Center, a part of the Ascension Seton Healthcare Family, is seeking a Metabolic Geneticist. In partnership with clinical, educational and research leaders in the Department of Pediatrics and at Dell Children’s Medical Center.
Responsibilities:
Diagnosis and management of patients with suspected inborn errors of metabolism

Job Summary:
The major responsibilities of this position are drug distribution, clinical intervention, education, administration, drug information and research.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Clinical Intervention
* a. Maintains competency in all aspects of drug therapy for patients of all age groups.
* b. Provides pharmaceutical care by assisting other health care providers or providing direct patient care by:
* Assessing patient demographics
* Reviewing patient medication history
* Developing pharmacotherapeutic plans
* Developing drug monitoring plans
* Implementing new drug regimens
* Documenting medication related issues
* Interpreting laboratory data
* Reviewing patient medication profiles and making recommendations for drug therapy management
* Makes patient care rounds focusing on drug therapy issues
* Monitors drug therapy to evaluate appropriateness of use, dose, dosage form, regimen, route, therapeutic duplication, and drug interactions
* c. Provides pharmacokinetics consultations as required, specifically addressing drugs with narrow therapeutic indices.
* d. Participates in drug therapy management during codes.
* e. Maintains and updates a patient profile with demographics, diagnosis, allergies, and current medications.

Drug Distribution
* a. Residents provide the equivalent of approximately 20 hours per month (excluding orientation and transition rotation) of pharmacy practice staffing during the residency program.
* b. Promotes use of WHS formulary by converting non-formulary orders to formulary when possible.
* c. Resident is scheduled to work their required shifts primarily in the Central Pharmacy or Resource Zone to gain a working knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations.
* Checks unit dose medications for accuracy
* Reviews and verifies medication orders for appropriateness and checks first doses of IV admixtures and unit dose medications prepared by technicians
* Ensures proper technique and accurate preparation of all pharmaceutical products, including oral, IV admixtures, chemotherapeutic, and investigational agents
* Ensures the timely and accurate dispensing of drugs and solutions from the pharmacy area
* Responsible for the accurate filling and dispensing of medication orders used by inpatients
* Provides drug information to health care professionals and to patients
* Reviews physician orders for possible therapeutic problems, contraindications, interactions, allergies, and formulary status of the drug
* Provides computer order entry for IVs and other computer entry as needed
* Ensures compliance with controlled substance distribution and maintenance system

Job Summary:

This position will be located onsite at our brand-new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Seasonal Summer Associate will perform various responsibilities contributing to our success while demonstrating our core values.
Position Duration:
June 1, 2026 through August 28, 2026
Compensation:
$20.00/hr.
Shift Hours:
- 1st Shift 7:00 am - 3:15 pm (6:00 am on Mondays)
- 2nd Shift 3:00 pm - 11:15 pm
- 3rd Shift 11:00 pm - 7:15 am
Responsibilities:
- Frequently handle trays of gummies weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Standing 8 hours per day
- Accurately weighing, labeling, and loading gummies into boxes
- Stacking boxes on pallets
- Sanitization and washing of trays
- Adhering to workplace safety regulations
- Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure high-quality product standards
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. frequently
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Requires high school diploma or equivalency (GED/HSED)
- Six (6) months of work experience preferred, preferably in a manufacturing setting

Teen Day Camp Leader's play a vital role in assisting with physical activity, social interaction, and overall well-being within their community. You will assist the Teen Day Camp Director, and other leaders, in guiding teens throughout several outdoor recreation adventures in and around the local region. The experiences you will be able to add to your resume, after one summer, are below, but not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Cultural Competency: Understand of the experiences and community issues affecting those marginalized in mainstream outdoor opportunities, such as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), and/or LGBTQIA+ communities and demonstrate the ability to work with people of diverse races, ages, genders, abilities, and economic backgrounds.
- Youth Engagement: Assist with providing recreational programs and activities that align with the interests and preferences of teenagers to keep them engaged.
- DEIB focused: Support the DEIB values (diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging) in all aspects of Teen Programs
- Mentorship: Serve as a positive role model and mentor, providing guidance and support for teenagers as they develop life skills and social abilities.
- Youth Development: Help with activities that foster personal growth, leadership skills, and self-esteem among teenagers. Maintain a balance between providing autonomy and ensuring the safety and well-being of youth.
- Safety Education: Educate teenagers about the importance of safety in recreational activities, including the use of protective gear and adherence to rules.

Hours of Work
During the 9 weeks of summer adventures, attendance is extremely necessary for all staff positions. Staff are seasonal positions that support a mandatory staff to camper ratio. Please give us at least a month notice for any requested days off throughout the summer.
Typical day is 7-8 hours per day between 9am - 5pm. Monday - Friday's between, June 29th - August 28th. Work schedule may fluctuate during periods of low attendance and poor weather/air quality days. Training Days and times will be scheduled in the middle of June.
Working Conditions & Physical Activities
- Performs work in settings indoor and outdoor, including multipurpose rooms, parks, playgrounds, beaches, trails, and recreation sites.
- Exposure to extended periods of direct sunlight and/or cool and damp weather is possible. Exposure to insects and wildlife is possible when out on a trail in our region. Staff will receive training and other preventative measures upon hire.
- Walk/Hike 3-5 miles for four days consecutively.
- The job requires frequent light lifting and carrying (15-20 lbs.) up to five miles, and infrequent heavy lifting of up to 50lbs.
