Position Summary: A locum tenens opportunity is available for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, as well as scheduled clinical hours and on-call duties. The assignment starts on February 1, 2025, and continues through August 1, 2025, with full-time hours and periodic on-call responsibilities.
Position Details:
- Location: Near Granger, WA

- Shift Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, with seven 24-hour on-call shifts required per month
- Setting: Inpatient and outpatient care in a Level II trauma center
- Patient Volume: 8-12 patients per shift

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive vascular surgery care, including preoperative assessments, perioperative management, and postoperative follow-ups.
- Coordinate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Manage both scheduled clinical hours and respond to on-call duties within a 20-minute call response time.
- Participate in phone consultations and in-person call-backs as required.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Active Washington state license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year in a vascular surgery setting, with a strong background in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
- Board Certification: Certification in your specialty is required; fellowship training is not necessary.
- Credentialing: Expected to be completed within 90 days.
