Job Summary
Provides leadership, development, and oversight of the site’s Quality Management System and health outcomes. This individual collaborates with operational leaders to ensure that the highest level of quality of patient care is delivered through data analysis, performance improvement activities and initiatives, the Quality Management System, and compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation agencies. This position serves as a key role in facilitating key quality and regulatory communication to the site executive leadership team and medical staff.
Major Responsibilities:
- Directs, organizes, and plans the site clinical and administrative functions of the ISO9001 Quality Management System, including Quality Management Oversight Committee, and its requirements.
- Responsible for monitoring performance improvement activity in accordance with system and site safety and health outcomes priorities.
- Provides leadership and oversight to external agency visits, including accreditation and certification surveys, state surveys, and other agency investigations.
- Serves as the hospital management representative and preparation agent for DNV and ISO surveys
- Responsible for management and oversight of the hospital physician and APC peer review program including the provision of data and case review for OPPE and FPPE related processes.
- Oversees the hospital contract management program, including maintenance of a hospital log and overall evaluation.
- Responsible for the hospital document management program, including policies, procedures, scope of service, and other key site documents.
- Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
- Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.

The Holy Cross Medical Group (HCMG) and Holy Cross Hospital have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible, Fellowship Trained Hematology/Oncology physician to join a practice located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The selected candidate will join a busy practice with five physicians and three APPs and can expect to spend 25% in the inpatient setting and 75% in the outpatient setting. Call is 1:5 which is one week of inpatient coverage plus coverage of clinic call after hours (after 5:00 pm) during the week.
The Michael & Dianne Bienes Comprehensive Cancer Center includes a busy Hematology Oncology Clinic, Infusion Center, robust Radiation Oncology division, and an active Surgical Oncology program specializing in breast care and services. The Cancer Center is comprised of a total of nine providers, five APPs and three patient navigators.
The Infusion Center houses 32 individual chairs and two private rooms with two outdoor atriums for patients and staff. Radiation Oncology underwent a three-year, $12M technology upgrade and renovation including a TrueBeam Linear Accelerator, Ethos Halcyon Adaptive Treatment Accelerator, and Bravos Brachytherapy.
Support services include social services, nutrition, financial support, foundation and co-pay assistance program, specialized rehabilitation programs, and a med spa including massage, aromatherapy, and acupuncture.

The focus is on very invasive procedures and the hemodynamic management of very critical patients. Manages ventilator settings, vasopressors and solve complex clinical cases. Schedule consisting of night shifts for 90% or more of the time.
Essential Functions
- Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments.
- Records findings of examinations, assessments and plan of care.
- Performs a wide range of surgical and/or medical procedures.
- Writes appropriate prescriptions and administers medications.
- Orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations.
- Determines treatment plan for patient.
- Documents all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner on the patient's medical record.
- Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize and concentrate.
- Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
- Attends, participates and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested Cardiothoracic Surgery Setting with less than 5 years CVTS experience
- Manages STS Database data collection pre and post-operatively.
- Performs clinic duties one day a week with assigned physician.
- Provides weeknight Call on a Q3 or Q4 rotation; weekend Call responsibilities on a Q3 or Q4 rotation.
Physical Requirements Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak English fluently and in understandable terms. Must possess intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity. Must have the ability to react and perform in stressful situations. Education, Experience and Certifications. Must have or be eligible for a DEA license. Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state one works. Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in SC required. BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice. Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and concentrate.
Nurse Practitioner
Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. ACNP, AGACNP, PNP-AC or NNP board certification preferred according to population served.
Physician Assistant
Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required; Master's Degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.

- Perform splinting, bracing, casting, orthopedic injections/aspirations, and local wound care in the in-patient and out-patient settings
- Assist in the OR as needed for elective and urgent/emergent cases
- Assist the supervising physician in clinic
- Manage and direct patient post-operative care in the hospital and clinical setting
- Participate in the rotating APP orthopedic practice call and ED call schedule
- Assist in facilitating the discharge and disposition of orthopedic in-patients
- Increase orthopedic knowledge through educational opportunities and clinical experience
Education, Experience, and Certifications
