Job Description

Renton Municipal Court advances justice for all who come before it. We are seeking a Judicial Specialist 1 to join our team. Our Judicial Specialists provide technical and administrative support to the court and provide assistance to our court users and community members. Work is performed independently and as part of a team. Tasks are completed with general guidelines and require some independent judgment. Contribute to the City's vision, mission, and goals in the performance of all job duties. This classification is part of a series.

Telework Program: The City of Renton supports workers performing in a hybrid capacity (partial telework/in-office) where job responsibilities can be performed remotely. This position may be eligible for a telework arrangement, up to 2 days remote, after six months of employment and based on the operational needs of the City and specific Department. Regardless of job title or telework arrangement, City of Renton employees must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance to their worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Communicate a wide variety of information to the public regarding court functions and procedures by telephone and in person at the front counter.
  • Enter citations, transactions, proceedings, and documentation relative to case management in the designated court software system.
  • Set cases for various types of hearings including arraignment, pre-trial, trial, mitigation, contested, show cause and motions; prepare court calendars and notify parties related to case by subpoena, summons, officer notice and bonding company notice; process continuance requests and notify parties involved.
  • Track cases with continued, suspended or deferred status; monitor cases on probation for various evaluations, schools, or management courses (i.e. alcohol, victims panel, anger management, defensive driving school) obtain record checks, review compliance and non-compliance reports, send notices and prepare calendar.
  • Prepare and perform various duties to maintain various calendars including but not limited to; contested calendars and photo calendars. Determine if defendant is eligible for personal recognizance bond by reviewing court records. If eligible, complete forms, set appropriate hearing, and recall warrant.
  • Maintain accounts receivable and time pay accounts; send statements and delinquent notices, order and send collection statements.
  • Maintain warrant control; issue, recall, process and purge warrants; maintain failure to appear control; order, issue, adjudicate and purge as appropriate.
  • Act as mental health/commitment coordinator, prepare orders, and contact Western State or other doctors to coordinate an appointment for evaluation, prepare transport order, coordinate with jail, attach order with needed documents and coordinate all other schedules and information.
  • Monitor and process probation information, including docketing and photocopying status reports to determine if a hearing is necessary.
  • Prepare and perform various duties to maintain various calendars including but not limited to; criminal calendars, judicial review calendar, jail calendar, contested calendars, photo calendar and pre-trial/trial calendars.
  • Determine if defendant is eligible for personal recognizance bond by reviewing court records. If eligible, complete forms, set appropriate hearing, and recall warrant.
  • Serve as jury coordinator; select, qualify, summons, track attendance and hours served by Jurors, and calculate expenditures.
  • Serve as court clerk while court is in session and record and document proceedings; perform bailiff duties during jury trials; direct and accommodate jurors.
  • Calculate, accept and account for bails, fines, restitution and costs; enter transactions in computer system recording receipt of funds; balance journal and make daily deposit as assigned.
  • Perform various duties related to the domestic violence legislation requirements including but not limited to preparing orders, copying, notifying Domestic Violence Advocate, entering information into computer, searching for information.
  • Maintain confidentiality and tact in dealing with the public.
  • Issue vouchers authorizing witness fee and juror payments.
  • Contribute to an environment of teamwork and respect.
  • Foster a culture of equity and inclusion by recognizing the diverse needs and perspectives of groups and individuals.
  • Remain current with relevant technological advancements as it relates to field.
  • Participate in and help provide cross-training in processes as directed by management to ensure a well-rounded team for coverage purposes.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • May be assigned to support City priorities during emergencies.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this classification.
  • 2 years of increasingly responsible clerical experience in the legal field, or closely related field.
  • Successful passing of a required background check, credit check, and national fingerprint-based records check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

SUMMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Head Coach for Men's Lacrosse/Game Management Assistant leads all facets of the men's lacrosse program, including practice and competition management, student-athlete recruitment and retention, fiscal oversight, supervision and mentoring of assistant coaches, academic and personal development of studentathlete recruitment and retention, fiscal oversight, supervision and mentoring of assistant coaches, academic and personal development of studentathletes, scheduling, travel coordination, and alumni and family engagement. In addition to coaching duties, the incumbent supports the Athletics Facilities team by performing secondary responsibilities as a game management assistant, contributing to the setup, coordination, and administration of home athletic events to ensure a safe, organized, and positive experience for teams, officials, and spectators.


In carrying out these responsibilities, the incumbent follows the University's best practices to build and/or support student academic success and retention and assist in meeting strategic objectives for persistence and timely graduation of all the student population.


EXAMPLES OF PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Lacrosse Coaching & Program Management



  • Performs all the duties associated with managing and serving as the Head Coach of men's lacrosse, including but not limited to managing practices and competitions, team recruitment and retention, budget management (e.g., equipment, recruiting, personnel), supervision and mentoring of assistant coaches, mentoring student-athletes, competition schedule development, transportation and meals for away contests, alumni and family engagement
  • Ensures compliance with NCAA, Conference, and institutional policies and procedures, including the NCAA Principals of Ethical Conduct, and demonstrates professionalism on and off the field
  • Reinforces the priorities of health and safety through attention to the NCAA acclimatization rules, NCAA Sports Sciences Institute consensus statements, National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletics Equipment (NOCSAE) protective equipment standards, institutional policies and procedures, and best practices in collaboration with the Sports Medicine team
  • Collaborates with department and campus partners to support team publicity. statistics, health and injury reporting, equipment management, and the upkeep of sport and locker room facilities
  • Assists with evaluating, selecting, and ordering program equipment and ensures that annual reconditioning and recertification of equipment is conducted

Game Management Support



  • Serves as a member of the athletic facilities team for game management support

What will you be doing?  

  • Provide education through in-services (account calls) to HCPs and HCP staff on Product specific information including but not limited to Product information, disease state information, dosing protocols and information, administration of product, and adverse events of Product.

The Boeing KC-46 "Pegasus" is the new US Air Force aerial refueling tanker aircraft designed to support multi-role missions including refueling, cargo/passenger transport, and medevac airlift. The KC-46 is a military commercial derivative aircraft based on the Boeing 767-2C aircraft and modified per US Air Force specifications for the primary mission of aerial refueling US and Allied aircraft. The KC-46 is equipped with self-protection, defensive and communication systems making it more survivable in a contested environment.
Position Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, analyze, and maintain software systems that meet industry, customer, and internal quality, safety, security and certification standards.
* Partner with appropriate stakeholders to inform system definition and decompose system-level requirements into software requirements and models that meet customer, operational needs, performance requirements and have clear traceability to design, code and test artifacts.
* Complete software system-level analyses to identify risks, issues and opportunities; integrates and deploys mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle.
* Performs code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards.
* Monitors and reviews test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution for software systems.
* Develop documentation for and coordinate with teams impacted by software changes such as integration teams, end users of the software, and training documents.
* Present detailed software design, impacts, and limitations to review boards and stakeholders.
* Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development.
