Job Title: Licensed Customs Broker

About the Role:

We are seeking a Licensed Customs Broker with strong experience and a personable approach to manage import and export compliance for our organization. This is an on-site role, based in Elk Grove Village, IL. The ideal candidate will ensure shipments clear customs efficiently while maintaining excellent client and team interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit customs entries, declarations, and documentation for imports and exports.
• Calculate and arrange duties, tariffs, and taxes on imported and exported goods.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other relevant agencies.
• Advise clients and internal teams on import/export regulations and requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and files for customs reporting and audits.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and government agencies to ensure smooth shipment clearance.
• Monitor and update knowledge of changes in customs laws, trade agreements, and regulations.
• Assist in resolving any customs-related issues or disputes.

Requirements

• Valid U.S. Customs Broker License.
• 5–10 years of experience in customs brokerage.
• CW (Customs Warehouse) experience required.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, carriers, and government officials.
• Proficiency in customs software and MS Office applications.
