You have the power to determine your own income with our commission-based compensation. About the Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Senior Finance Accountant oversees the integrity and control of Berklee's financial records. This role is the primary lead for Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E), lease accounting, and bond compliance. This is a vital position that ensures our physical campus and financial assets are managed with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capital Asset Management: Oversee the purchasing, tracking, depreciation, and reporting for all PP&E. You'll review capital accounts within Workday, manage routine inventories, and provide monthly depreciation forecasts.
- Lease Accounting (ASC 842): Manage rental income and lease reconciliations. You'll ensure rent expenses, right-of-use assets, and liabilities are recorded in strict accordance with ASC 842 standards, keeping pace with FASB changes.
- Bond Compliance: Handle bond-related accounting and assist leadership with annual reporting and compliance requirements.
- Reporting & Audits: Support the Director of Accounting with annual filings (such as 3ABC and Census Bureau surveys) and prepare comprehensive work paper packages for the fiscal year-end audit.
- Month-End Close: Assist the Assistant Controller with journal entries and reporting to ensure a smooth and accurate close process.
- Process Improvement: Create and update procedural manuals to ensure the accounting team remains efficient and innovative.

The Position
Chief Financial Officer
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of Contra Costa Health, the Chief Financial Officer serves as the senior financial leader and strategic advisor for the department. The CFO is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all financial strategy and operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, revenue cycle oversight, capital planning, and regulatory compliance.
The CFO leads the Finance Division of approximately 160 staff and provides fiscal leadership for an integrated public health system with an annual operating budget of approximately $4 billion.

Experience/Qualifications
Education
- Possession of a masterβs degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
Experience
- Ten (10) years of full-time financial management experience in a healthcare environment, including at least five (5) years in an executive-level role within a large, diverse program or public agency providing healthcare to the public.
- Demonstrated experience in complex healthcare systems; experience spanning both delivery systems and managed care environments is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of public reimbursement structures and fiscal strategy across funding streams, including Medi-Cal, Medicare, and supplemental funding programs.
- Experience operating in unionized environments and supporting labor negotiations through financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong financial planning, forecasting, and analytical expertise, including budget development, revenue cycle oversight, capital planning, and enterprise financial reporting.
- Experience leading enterprise financial systems modernization initiatives, including ERP optimization, cost accounting implementation, and large-scale operational system projects.
- Demonstrated project management capability involving complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Compensation

Key Responsibilities:
Cash Flow Management & Financial Forecasting:

- Monitor daily/weekly cash positions and provide proactive recommendations for working capital optimization Analyze cash conversion cycles and identify opportunities to improve
- Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), inventory turns, and vendor payment timing
- Partner with CFO on cash management strategy, credit line utilization, and liquidity planning

Cost Analysis & Profitability Management:
- Analyze true costs and profitability across channels, platforms, SKUs, and product lines to identify where the business makes or loses money
- Evaluate comprehensive cost structures including COGS, landed costs, duty calculations, freight, platform fees, and total cost of ownership
- Conduct detailed margin analysis by product category, sales channel (Amazon, Walmart, Target, ), and promotional activity Identify cost variance drivers and provide actionable recommendations for margin improvement and cost optimization
- Partner with operations and procurement teams to validate cost data accuracy and drive cost reduction initiatives
Pricing Strategy & Competitive Analysis:
- Develop pricing strategies for multi-platform ecommerce operations balancing competitive positioning with profitability goals
- Analyze promotional pricing effectiveness and margin impact across different sales channels and product categories
- Conduct competitive pricing analysis and market positioning research to inform strategic pricing decisions
- Evaluate price elasticity and recommend optimal pricing for new product launches and existing SKU optimization
- Track platform-specific fee structures (Amazon, Walmart, Target) and incorporate into pricing and profitability models
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly forecasting cycles with detailed variance analysis and commentary
- Build financial models for strategic initiatives including facility expansion, international sourcing decisions, and capital investments
- Develop executive dashboards and KPI reporting frameworks using Power BI for CFO and CEO decision-making
- Analyze business performance trends and provide insights on revenue drivers, cost trends, and profitability improvements
- Support monthly financial close process with variance analysis, trend reporting, and actionable business insights
International Trade & Supply Chain Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial impacts of international sourcing decisions across China, India, Pakistan, and Turkey considering tariffs, duties, and trade restrictions
- Evaluate landed cost components including freight costs, customs fees, currency fluctuations, and total supply chain costs Assess VAT, tax, and tariff implications on product pricing and overall business profitability
- Support real estate and facility decisions with financial analysis including lease vs. buy evaluations and expansion ROI modeling
Strategic Financial Partnership:
- Serve as trusted financial advisor to CFO/CEO on complex business questions requiring analytical problem-solving
- Present financial analysis and strategic recommendations to executive leadership with clear, actionable insights

Qualifications & Experience:
Required Experience:
- 7-10 years of progressive financial analysis experience with demonstrated expertise in FP&A, cost analysis, and pricing strategy
- Strong background in retail, manufacturing, ecommerce, or consumer products with complex cost structures and multi-channel operations
- Proven experience building and maintaining cash flow forecasting models and working capital management
- Experience analyzing profitability across multiple channels, platforms, or business units with detailed cost allocation

Technical Skills - Must Have:
- Expert-level Excel proficiency including advanced formulas, pivot tables, complex financial modeling, macros, and scenario analysis

The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. - Working knowledge of both relational and multi-dimensional data
modeling concepts and processes using Microsoft SQL. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability
to understand complex financial definitions and information and grasp
technology concepts. - Demonstrated experience supporting, configuring, and
administering financial systems, ideally Oracle Lawson, Hyperion, Concur, or
similar ERP platforms, including coordinating enhancements with IT and vendors. - Excellent written and oral communication skills to translate
business needs into clear requirements for IT partners.

This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $87,394-$115,797. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration and geographical location, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
