Salary range:
The posted UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See the following table for the salary scale for this position . A reasonable estimate for this position is $68,247 - $97,304.
Percent time:
Positions range from 33% to 100% each semester. Summer positions are 11% (part-time positions that are weighed at 50%).
Anticipated start:
Appointments start January 1 for spring semester, August 1 for fall semester and July 1 for academic year. Summer appointments begin in late May and run into early August.

The Division of Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a pool of qualified lecturers to teach courses in any of the possible areas:

In addition to instruction, general responsibilities include (but are not limited to) some or all of the following: preparing course materials and assignments, maintaining course website, providing guidance, in consultation with ladder faculty, to undergraduates in MELC majors/minors, supervising and preparing graduated student instructors, holding office hours, writing and grading exams, and grading and commenting on papers, and for language instructors, cooperating with department's language coordinators to plan and teach the department's Language Pedagogy courses. Native or near-native competence in speaking, listening, writing, and reading Modern Greek. Knowledge of Katharevousa as well as Demotic Greek is preferred.
