Automatic Assembly, Set Up & Operate is responsible for setting up and operating, changeovers, adjusting assembly line to assemble Automotive Timing Chain and Components, following established work standards. The machine operator using statistical quality control methods maintains the quality of all components and the timing chain. Changeovers and adjustments are exacting, but not difficult. Work to specifications, schedules, orders, and general instructions of the department group leader or supervisor, as defined in the work standards.

- Perform preventive maintenance inspection before the start of each shift as outlined on the Preventive Maintenance Check Sheet. Apply oil or grease to specified areas. Confirm the operability of all detectors.
- The ability to perform a more comprehensive PM on the machines including but not limited to oil changes.
- Basic troubleshooting of chain assembly equipment to understand the alarm messages, identify what this issue is and how to correct the issue.
- The assembly line consists of the following machines/operations: roller link assembly, chain assembly, riveting, pre-stressing, articulation checking, center distance measuring, automatic cutting, and endless operation, washing, final inspection, and packing.
- Adhere to work standards. Responsible for maintaining production schedules, quality control records, chain assembly records, shipping charge numbers, and the traceability records for each charge of chain and referring any unusual problems to the departmental supervisor.
- Prepare test samples for quality control per work standard. Record production and any other data required utilizing various forms as directed.
- Utilize a machine-monitoring system to record downtime.
- Detect faulty operation or defective material and report these and other unusual conditions to the group leader or supervisor.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow standard safety regulations.
- Perform other similar and associated duties as required or directed.

Position Responsibilities:
Communicate with shop personnel or check the Call Sheet for the next job or in-process inspection, obtaining applicable drawings and specifications.
Ensure that the correct revisions of drawings and documents are being used, verifying that all paperwork and online systems are complete and accurate.
Perform inspections and in-process inspections as required, including crimping, splicing, torque, bond, and ground checks.
Conduct various tests and measurements, such as resistance tests, to ensure that wires meet specification requirements.
Monitor manufacturing processes and document findings as required to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Inspect electrical wire bundles and assemblies, ensuring all parts have been assembled according to drawings and specifications.
Screen paperwork for options, substitutions, and effectiveness of parts and materials.
Identify, investigate, and document discrepancies, reporting them to the shop as necessary.
Reject wire bundles, assemblies, or installations as required, documenting discrepancies and processing Quality Assurance records.
Indicate Quality Assurance acceptance on appropriate paperwork and online systems, processing documentation as required.
Coordinate and complete travelers, investigating and clearing check orders as necessary.
Initiate Inspection Record Change Requests (IRCR) and/or Shipside Action Trackers (SAT) as needed.
Ensure that certifications for tools, test equipment, and personnel are current and compliant.
Assist other employees by providing information and answering questions regarding functions, methods, and procedures.
Perform first article inspections and FAA conformities, coordinating results as required.
Enter data into various computing software systems, such as Common Manufacturing Execution System (CMES) and Enterprise Process Evaluation Systems (EPES).
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to evaluate and improve build processes and defect reduction initiatives.
Initiate and document any nonconforming materials or assemblies according to specifications and procedures.
Perform audits and surveillance of manufacturing and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with standards.
Witness or perform electrical continuity, voltage, resistance, capacitance, and bond or ground testing as required.
Calibrate and certify electrical process tools, such as loggers, strippers, and crimpers.
Refer to rejection tags and trouble reports to identify problems and initiate corrective actions.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.

Title: 26-00326 - Manufacturing Process Engineer – BIW / General Assembly (Bilingual Spanish & English Required)
Job Description:
- Vehicle Process Engineer Specialist (Toluca Vehicles) will create, updating and maintenance of process documents that affect the current and new vehicle program(s) project(s) and includes working in different process areas BIW and General Assembly.
Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Process Engineer must be able to perform studies for assembly processes, process documents creation includes graphics & illustrations of the parts to be assembled and its development contains the identification of assembly risks through the use and implementation of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) on current and new products. The previous activities includes the sequence analysis to install parts, the implementation of product and parts engineering specifications, process tools specifications, digital process simulation studies and interferences analysis related to current and new products parts and assemblies, as well as any other study related to required process, it will be performed under the acknowledgment and use of the following software applications: Teamcenter 11, Siemens NX (NX Unigraphics software), Mockup and Vis-Professional Version 14.1 visualizers, MS Visio 2016, Autodesk DWG TrueView 2019, MS PowerPoint and MS Office 2016, Snipping Tool Version 10, AMPS - Advanced Manufacturing Planning Systems (Client Internal System). These computer software applications will be used to define process and identify in advance any potential process risk with the use of PFMEA technique to ensure the correct integration of processes on time, in a safety matter and in accordance with product specifications.
- As part of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) development, Vehicle Process Engineer will generate the initial list of PFMEAs to be carried out according to the new processes requirements. The definition of PFMEAs will be performed in mutual agreement with VPE Cars, WPI (Work Process Integration) and plant team members. Once the matrix of PFMEAs to be generated has been defined, Process Engineer will be responsible to schedule meetings in mutual agreement with VPE and plant, develop and lead the PFMEAs. For the creation of PFMEA it will be required to populate the process steps on the PFMEA form provided by VPE Cars /WPI, which includes process steps, identifying potential process risks, establishment of severity, occurrence and detection values, establishment of recommended actions, assignment of responsible for each created recommended action, creation of summary reports after each PFMEA review and document posting into WPI web. It also includes the follow-up of open recommended actions with responsible(s) up to which all the actions will be closed as well.
- Vehicle Process Engineer will be responsible to perform the new and update process documents for the current and new vehicle product programs produced by Toluca Plant, it includes all product parts end items, parts change last level released by product engineering that may affect the process(es) and the inclusion of the changes into the processes should be done considering the product implementation date specified in the engineering change Vehicle Process Engineer will be able to understand the product specifications included in the Engineering Bill of Material (EBOM) system, Product Change Notes (CNs) and Engineering Bulletins.
- It is expected after being familiar with the product specifications, Client systems use and process document requirements that the Vehicle Process Engineer will develop a new process page under the rate of 30 minutes and meet the quality required. If the process or PFMEA's documents performed by Vehicle Process Engineer contain mistakes or missing information, the time used to fix the errors and meet the quality requirements will be covered by Engineering Services.
- Vehicle Process Engineer will provide these services considering performing in the different process areas BIW and GA process areas, work under pressure, availability to travel, assistance on weekends and sometime holidays.
- Vehicle Process Engineer is responsible to keep the information managed updated, control the changes, and manage the process documents assigned as well as have them available into the corresponding systems indicated in accordance with the vehicle(s) program(s) needs established by IME/ME. The confidentiality of the documents generated must be maintained across all the vehicle programs and assigned projects.
- Assist the VPE Cars engineers in the generation of process documents, graphics and PFMEAs, as well as during the revision and updating of these documents.
- Support to VPE Cars engineers in the presentation required to identify the process and product changes related or any activity related to new models as well as to current vehicles (carry over).
- Assist to obtain the product specification, parts and plant information required by VPE Cars Process in order to develop the process documents, Graphics, PFMEA's and tasks needed due to product changes, plant request to improve or update the process documents during the implementation of new and carry over vehicles. The supplier personnel should follow the confidentiality policy.
- Engineering services must be following the official Mexican norms and regulations applicable to the processes safety, environmental that are considered into Product Specifications (Process Standards, Material Standards and Quality MQAS Mexico Client during the work assigned to supplier in the process areas and the plant location.
- Support parts and vehicle(s) model data finding in Teamcenter requested by IME in order to develop and update the new and current process documents, graphics and PFMEA's.
- Assist to obtain information to develop and follow up vehicle(s) KPI's, create weekly reports and support any task related to process documents, it will be performed using forms and tools from VPE and Program Vehicle(s) Management.

Job SummaryIn this role, you will supervise employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment: plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching, development, and performance reviews. Administers the hiring, termination, and disciplinary process for production area personnel. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
- Responsible for ensuring applicable training and compliance associated with work area and products.
- Responsible for shift personnel scheduling and assignments, verbal communications and visual checks of all work activity for the duration of each assigned shift, ensuring that quality requirements are being fulfilled.
- Provides feedback to proper departments regarding production, quality, engineering, and personnel issues.
- Direct and assists training of all production floor positions; topics include, but not limited to: SOPs, WIs, SPCs, and FDA regulations.
- Ensures work areas are kept clean, orderly, and safe. Makes frequent safety inspections with follow-through reporting and/or corrective actions, including work related injuries.
- Responsible for finalizing all necessary data that is required for a timely, shift-to-shift transition, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- All interactions, workflow, productivity levels, and quality standards are implemented with a "Customer Service" approach to both internal and external customers.
- Assists in the decision-making process in regard to cycle standards and process changes.
- Lead continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the production environment.
- Supervise shift personnel in the manufacture of customer products consistent with high quality and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot problems arising on the shop floor as it relates to injection molding product quality and automation systems for throughput and yields with the appropriate engineering support from Engineering functions within the value stream / business unit
- Maintain close observation of orders to keep informed of manufacturing status and, when needed, initiate the necessary steps to conform to schedule.
- Promote and support site initiatives including safety programs, lean initiatives, training programs, and consistently interpret and apply all policies, practices and procedures among plant employees.
- Recommend and implement measures to motivate employees and to encourage employees to recommend ways to improve process, quality, safety and efficiency.
- Routinely evaluate employee performance and identify training needs. Coach and counsel employees for performance, attendance and behavior. Participate in the resolution of employee relations issues.
- Review and approve work time in the appropriate timekeeping system. Maintain and verify accuracy of the hours each employee has worked.
- Adjust direct labor to support demand and manage available resources to ensure on time production and delivery of customer orders with consistent focus on labor absorption.
- Ensure SOPs, cGMP, OSHA and Safety regulations are followed.
- Perform routine visual inspection of work areas for unusual occurrences, safety hazards, housekeeping, work space organization and generate work orders where appropriate.
- Liaise with internal and external customers and other departments as appropriate.
- Participate in special project teams as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Position Summary: The Assembler I performs bench or line assembly operations to produce components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies using various hand tools and semi-automation equipment. Looks for guidance from lead personnel to have materials, equipment, and jobs setup and rely on lead personnel for direction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs duties by verbal or written instructions.
- Crimps, screws, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to fasten parts together.
- Assembles or attaches various hardware such as caps, clamps, tape, lugs, connectors, etc. to assemblies.
- Tends to machines that shape, press, insert, wind, or weld component parts.
- Sorts, packs, and records production information.
- Maintains acceptable levels of production according to established standards.
- Assists other associates when needed.
- Maintains dialog with lead personnel on status of work and raw material to ensure efficiency.
- Practices good safety and housekeeping procedures and adheres to all established policies and procedures.
