Position Overview
Scouting America is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and strategic leader to serve as our Director of Research. This highly impactful role is central to advancing a data-driven culture across the organization by transforming insights into action that drives decision-making, strengthens programs, and enhances member engagement.
Reporting to the SVP, Communications & Marketing, the Director of Research will lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide research strategies aligned with organizational priorities. This individual will oversee a team responsible for delivering high-quality primary and secondary research that supports product design, program evaluation, marketing effectiveness, and member experience. You will also be responsible for managing budgets as well as outside agencies. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader who can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence senior leadership and organizational direction.
Responsibilities
- Develops long-term research plans that align with business goals with a focus on increasing membership and revenue to the organization.
- Supervises, hires, provides performance management, and mentors research staff, data analysts and scientists. Establishes goals for the research team that are aligned with the organizational strategy and department goals.
- Oversees research projects, data collection, and analysis to ensure accuracy, compliance, and ethical standards.
- Partners across the organization with internal business units, councils, volunteers, and vendors to understand business needs, enhance strategy development, and ensure implementation of research findings.
- Presents complex findings to senior leadership, stakeholders, volunteers, and lay audiences through reports and presentations.
- Allocates resources effectively and efficiently and working with fundraisers to secure additional resources.
- Stays updated with industry trends, technological advancements, market trends in youth development, and competitors
- Partners with outside research vendors to gain accurate data with actionable results. This includes writing RFPs with actionable objectives, overseeing data collection and reporting for accuracy of insights.

Competencies
- Knowledge of: quantitative and qualitative research techniques, data analysis, survey design; product/service lifecycles, user experience, and iterative design processes; consumer behavior, segmentation, and trends.
- Skill in: written and verbal communication and presentation; analyzing data, identifying key insights, and drawing actionable conclusions; translating research findings into actionable strategies for program, product, or service development; using research software, data visualization tools, and statistical analysis programs. Proficiency in data analysis software, statistical methods, online survey systems, data aggregation and visualization tools.
- Ability to: lead and motivate research teams, build relationships with stakeholders, and manage budgets effectively; manage multiple research projects with competing deadlines and resources.
Education
Master’s degree minimum, Doctoral degree preferred, in social science, youth development or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years’ experience in research, with demonstrated leadership of research teams, project management skills, and designing and executing successful research projects that impact business decisions.
- Must pass a criminal history background check.
Any work-related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above-specified education and experience requirements.

GENERAL PURPOSE
The Senior Research Analyst supports technology, data, and analytical needs across healthcare research projects funded by federal, state, and private grants. This role ensures that research teams have secure, reliable, and compliant technical infrastructure to conduct high‐quality scientific work. The analyst collaborates with investigators, data specialists, and administrative staff to design systems, manage data, and contribute to the technical components of grant proposals and reporting. Works cooperatively with teams who have diverse skill sets to solve complex problems that require robust, scalable medical research database solutions.
Knowledge and experience in any of the healthcare patient facing clinical systems is a plus; EPIC EMR, Cardiology apps like Client ViewPoint, Client MUSE, Philips iECG Anywhere, Philips ST80i Stress System, PaceMate etc.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot research specific IT systems, databases, and software tools. Support electronic data capture platforms and research management systems. Ensure all systems meet institutional and regulatory requirements for healthcare research.
- Design and manage data pipelines, storage environments, and access controls for research datasets. Oversee data integrity, documentation, and metadata standards across projects. Implement data governance practices aligned with HIPAA and institutional policies. Assist with data extraction, transformation, and preparation for analysis. Support integration of diverse data sources, including EHR, 3rd party diagnostic/clinical systems data, survey, and administrative data.
- Partner with investigators, analysts, clinicians, and administrative staff to understand technical needs and translate them into solutions. • Provide training and support for research teams using IT tools and platforms. Facilitate communication between research teams, clinical system vendors and central IT departments.
- Estimate IT related costs and resource needs for proposed research activities. Ensure secure handling of sensitive health data through encryption, access controls, and audit mechanisms. Collaborate with institutional IT security teams to maintain compliance with IRB, HIPAA, and sponsor requirements. Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, software tools, and data platforms that could enhance research capabilities. Recommend and implement solutions that improve efficiency, data quality, and collaboration.
- Stay current with trends in health informatics, data science, and research IT infrastructure through continuing education, professional reading, online forums, workshops and professional groups.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or similar discipline. - Required

The School of Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) at GA Tech is seeking to hire a Research Engineer (Open Rank) to serve as a Product Manager. CSE is enhancing our impact on the Georgia Tech ecosystem through new programs that help students become better Research Software Engineers. With this increased capacity, we will amplify the impact of research conducted by Georgia Tech's scientific community. We are expanding our team of 6 professional software engineers (with varying degrees of industry experience) to include a Product Manager who is excited about working in a highly dynamic and research-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Georgia Tech faculty to identify areas of scientific research likely to benefit from dedicated Research Software Engineering.
- Establish goals and requirements to create new functionality that maximize Research Software Engineering contributions.

About the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. All ECE undergraduate and graduate programs are in the top five of the most recent college rankings by U.S. News & World Report.
In addition to the main campus in Atlanta, Georgia, ECE also has permanent operations at Georgia Tech-Lorraine in France and Georgia Tech-Shenzhen in China. Job Summary
The Ultrasound Imaging and Therapeutics Research Laboratory ( ) seeks self-motivated and talented individuals to participate in and support operations of a research laboratory. Our mission is to develop and translate approaches, devices, algorithms, and agents with clinical impact based on a synergistic combination of biomedical imaging, image-guided therapy, and bionanotechnology. Overall, we are a collaborative, full-spectrum research group leading the discovery, development, and integration of biomedical imaging technologies and theranostic agents for both fundamental research and clinical applications.
The Ultrasound Imaging and Therapeutics Research Laboratory is part of the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE), and the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University School of Medicine.
The research engineer will provide technical oversight of the research laboratory operations focused on in-vitro/preclinical/clinical imaging. The responsibilities will include daily interactions with graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, clinical collaborators, and other researchers, technical and other support to research staff, and direct reporting to the Principal Investigator.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Designing and fabricating electro-mechanical systems;
- Facilitate construction and maintenance of custom lab equipment (ultrasound transducers and imaging systems, laser systems, motorized linear axis and robotic positioners, etc.);
- Maintain instrumentation, implement best practices and training;
- Serve as a technical source for the researchers in the laboratory;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. (M.S. preferred) in science or engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Biophysics, Chemistry, Biology);
- Experience in mechanical fabrication and/or circuitry;
- Experience with ultrasound or laser systems including NDE, diagnostic/therapeutic ultrasound, nanosecond pulsed lasers;
- Programming skills in Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, C++ desirable;
- Ability to assess and remedy difficult problems and situations quickly and efficiently;
- Ability to work well alone as well as in a team environment;
- Ability to work in physical, hands on environment;
- Ability to act independently on technical matters pertaining to projects and laboratory;
- Exhibits creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in conducting research programs/projects.

Contribute to ongoing federally and foundation-funded research projectsled by the Implementation Science Research Lab, including mixed-methods studies, intervention trials, and community-based participatory research (CBPR) initiatives.
Develop and implement their own research agenda, including conceptualizing, designing, and leading pilot or secondary data studies in alignment with their long-term career goals.
Prepare and submit extramural grant applications, such as NIH K-series career development awards, R21 exploratory studies, and foundation-funded proposals, with mentorship from senior faculty.

Minimum Qualifications:

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. The Signal Lab in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech is seeking a Research Scientist to lead and advance cutting-edge research in Artificial Intelligence. The role will involve laboratory management, project oversight, and business development activities to name a few.
Responsibilities
1. Research Leadership in Foundation Models, World Models, and Frontier AI
- Lead and execute advanced research programs in large-scale AI, including foundation model architectures, multimodal representation learning, world models, agentic systems, and self-supervised learning at scale.
- Design and evaluate new training algorithms, model architectures, and scalable pipelines for language, vision, audio, robotics, simulation, and multi-agent environments.
- Develop GPU-, TPU-, and cluster-optimized training frameworks, distributed training systems, and inference-time optimization pipelines for next-generation AI models.
- Publish high-impact papers in top AI/ML venues, release open-source tools, and contribute to Georgia Tech's AI research leadership and national strategic priorities.
2. Lab Management and AI Compute Infrastructure Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the AI research lab, including GPU clusters, high-performance storage, distributed training stacks, and data governance frameworks.
- Manage, maintain, and expand high-performance compute infrastructure: multi-node GPU clusters, distributed data loaders, RL/simulation environments, and model evaluation frameworks.
- Ensure safety, compliance, documentation, model governance, data integrity, and continuous uptime of compute and AI assets.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Deliver comprehensive litigation research across diverse practice areas using both conventional and emerging research platforms.
- Conduct case law, statutory, regulatory, and legislative history research under the direction of the Research Manager.
- Serve as the research liaison for one of the firm’s litigation practice groups as designated by the Research Manager.
- Assist with general research tasks and projects as required.
- Support attorneys with cost-effective research strategies and provide targeted training sessions on legal research tools and databases.
- Assist with onboarding and research orientation sessions for new associates and Summer Programs.
- Apply strong analytical skills to distill complex research findings into actionable insights that directly support legal strategy and client needs.
- Manage multiple time-sensitive assignments effectively, balancing priorities within budget and deadline parameters.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise in expertise in litigation, case law and factual research methodologies.
- Proficiency with a wide array of research databases and tools, including:
- Lexis+, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, Practical Law, VitalLaw, PACER, Wolters Kluwer tax resources, and Quest, among others.
- Utilizes appropriate fee based and non-metered resources to provide excellent practice support in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative, client-service-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team-oriented culture.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of legal research experience at an AmLaw 50 firm or equivalent legal environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Library & Information Science (M.L.S./M.L.I.S.) from an ALA-accredited institution and/or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
- Knowledge of securities law, tax, or basic corporate research a plus.

Summary
Research Support Services Coordinator I
The mission of Research Support Services (RSS) is to ensure research faculty have the equipment, space and logistics resources they need to be successful. A Research Support Services Coordinator I is primarily a research staff facing position, responsible for coordinating research support services related to research space, common equipment, ultra-low temperature storage units and participate during emergencies (i.e. Hurricanes).
The position will initially be based in the Research Support Services Department at our Magnolia Campus. Ultimately, the position will be located at Moffitt at Speros in Land O’Lakes, FL once the facility opens mid-July 2026.
Position Highlights:
- Provides customer service and support for research faculty, staff and vendors with guidance from the supervisor/manager
- Support research space activities by following lab modification SOPs for expansion, compression, start up and shut down of labs under the direction of the supervisor/manager
- Familiar with the operation, function and troubleshooting of a wide range of basic science research equipment while ensuring maintenance meets research and industry standards for safety
- Supports cold storage activities for off-site freezer storage, faculty labs, shared resources and responds to alarm monitoring system
- Supports special project assignments related to supporting Moffitt Research Institute wide research initiatives such as large-scale freezer clean outs, 5S efforts, CCSG reporting, space use survey, etc.
- Serves as an “essential on-site personnel” during emergencies and coverage in the on-call schedule as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Highly skilled in executing and properly conducting research in an academic setting
- A critical thinker that can piece together potential issues and think about resolutions ahead of time for the staff and faculty
- Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate with technical customers at all levels both internally and externally
- An individual that has experience with lab bench Research, particularly in the basic lab setting
- A team player who enjoys a collaborative, team-based environment
- An individual that has high emotional intelligence
- Two (2) years of working in a biology or Chemistry Research Laboratory preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers and facilitate clear communication
- Contributes to development of workflows relating to lab research activation, lab start up, support for research labs, and being on call
- Support RSS supervisor/manager in maintaining research equipment across multiple campuses and minimizing downtime while continuing to maintain the equipment
Credentials and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or Biomedical field of study with 1 year as a Research Associate or equivalent support services experience or 2 years of laboratory experience is required.
- Familiar with function and operation of basic Lab Equipment, Lab Safety and Good Laboratory Practices.
- Multi-tasks and keeps excellent records.
- Must have good organizational and communication skills and careful attention to details.
- Must have ability to plan, organize and coordinate multiple work assignments.
