Job Title : Research Analyst Sr

Location: Hybrid - minimum 3 Days onsite

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Senior Research Analyst supports technology, data, and analytical needs across healthcare research projects funded by federal, state, and private grants. This role ensures that research teams have secure, reliable, and compliant technical infrastructure to conduct high‐quality scientific work. The analyst collaborates with investigators, data specialists, and administrative staff to design systems, manage data, and contribute to the technical components of grant proposals and reporting. Works cooperatively with teams who have diverse skill sets to solve complex problems that require robust, scalable medical research database solutions.

Knowledge and experience in any of the healthcare patient facing clinical systems is a plus; EPIC EMR, Cardiology apps like Client ViewPoint, Client MUSE, Philips iECG Anywhere, Philips ST80i Stress System, PaceMate etc.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot research specific IT systems, databases, and software tools. Support electronic data capture platforms and research management systems. Ensure all systems meet institutional and regulatory requirements for healthcare research.
• Design and manage data pipelines, storage environments, and access controls for research datasets. Oversee data integrity, documentation, and metadata standards across projects. Implement data governance practices aligned with HIPAA and institutional policies. Assist with data extraction, transformation, and preparation for analysis. Support integration of diverse data sources, including EHR, 3rd party diagnostic/clinical systems data, survey, and administrative data.
• Partner with investigators, analysts, clinicians, and administrative staff to understand technical needs and translate them into solutions. • Provide training and support for research teams using IT tools and platforms. Facilitate communication between research teams, clinical system vendors and central IT departments.
• Estimate IT related costs and resource needs for proposed research activities. Ensure secure handling of sensitive health data through encryption, access controls, and audit mechanisms. Collaborate with institutional IT security teams to maintain compliance with IRB, HIPAA, and sponsor requirements. Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, software tools, and data platforms that could enhance research capabilities. Recommend and implement solutions that improve efficiency, data quality, and collaboration.
• Stay current with trends in health informatics, data science, and research IT infrastructure through continuing education, professional reading, online forums, workshops and professional groups.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or similar discipline. - Required

Master's degree - Preferred

Experience:

• 3 - 4 years of related experience; - Required
• or 5 to 6 years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified - Preferred
• or an equivalent combination of education training and/or experience. - Required
• Experience supporting research or healthcare environments - Preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Programming experience and expert knowledge in SQL - Required

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Event Management & Development Operations

• Serve as the primary coordinator for all fundraising and community events

This position demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in litigation support technologies. Extensive knowledge of court procedures, discovery processes, legal cite checking, and trial preparation is required, as the Senior Paralegal will serve as a subject matter resource to ensure compliance with court rules and internal procedures while helping to drive operational efficiency across matters.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Litigation, Investigation, & Case Management Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all stages of large, complex litigation matters from inception through post-trial, including attending and supporting depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
• Apply advanced knowledge of federal and state procedural rules and electronic filing requirements; implement and maintain case calendaring and docketing systems, ensure accuracy of key dates, and provide guidance on court-related procedural questions.
• Prepare templates and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and related legal documents; assist with proofreading, legal cite-checking, Bluebook compliance, and case law retrieval.
• Organize and maintain electronic case files in accordance with firm protocols; manage high volumes of documents, including client and third-party communications, client collections, productions, deposition materials, exhibits, and trial materials.
• Assist attorneys with document collection, Relativity database setup, and management, including document production.
• Perform complex data analysis, tracking, and discovery management within Relativity, including document review and database searches.
• Prepare, organize, and manage exhibits and trial materials, including pleadings, witness preparation materials, trial notebooks, deposition designations, demonstratives, and digital courtroom presentations (e.g., Trial Director, OnCue).
• Assist attorneys with internal investigations, regulatory inquiries, and compliance reviews.
• Assist attorneys with preparing materials for witness interviews, including pulling documents from Relativity and organizing materials into binders for witness interviews.

Leadership & Training Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and train junior and midlevel paralegals assigned to your matters.
• Review documents and filings of other teams members for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with paralegal onboarding, training, and performance feedback.
• Identify stretch assignments for more junior members of the team to build advanced litigation or investigative skills.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior paralegals, including instruction on firm litigation procedures and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in an AmLaw 100 or specialized litigation firm, with demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills appropriate for a senior-level role.
• Expert knowledge of Federal and relevant State procedural rules and electronic filing requirements, with strong familiarity with Federal and State court rules, case management systems, and e-filing databases.
• Experience drafting pleadings, and discovery requests and responses, with proficiency in legal cite-checking and Bluebook standards.
• Working knowledge of docketing applications (e.g., CompuLaw, PACER), litigation support and transcript management tools (e.g., TextMap, CaseMap, Opus2, NetDocuments), and document review/e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), legal research platforms (e.g. LexisNexis, Westlaw), and document management/PDF tools (e.g. Kofax, Adobe Acrobat).
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail; ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability to work overtime, travel, and handle after-hours filings and deliverables as needed.
• This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence at least four days per week (Monday–Thursday).

This position will provide support to all levels of personnel throughout the Firm and US Region and will be responsible for review and analysis of conflicts and other issues related to firm acceptance of new clients and new matters.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide thorough and timely analysis of all firm new business to identify legal and business conflicts of interest.
• Utilize available internal and external databases to review and analyze conflicts of interest reports with respect to clients, matters and prospective business.
• Facilitate resolution of potential conflicts issues for lawyer’s firm wide.
• Advise as to necessary waivers. Assist in drafting waivers and engagement letters or other documentation for Partner review and/or submission to clients.
• Proactively communicate with department leadership on complex conflicts questions and other compliance issues.
• Maintain thorough, accurate and current records of all conflicts resolutions to ensure integrity of the database and assist in identification and clearing of future conflicts of interest.
• Investigate and resolve erroneous, outdated or otherwise incomplete data on conflicts reports to maintain integrity of information in firm conflicts databases and other records.
• These duties may be ongoing or ad hoc in nature.
• Other duties may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.

Experience & Qualifications

• Ideal candidate should have a JD and must be licensed to practice law with at least 2 years’ conflicts experience in a law firm.

• Strong legal research skills. In addition, stay current with recent research and thinking on ethics and conflicts best practices and rules across jurisdictions in which the firm has offices. Maintain a sophisticated, relevant base of knowledge in these areas.
• Able to work under pressure to tight project deadlines and can adapt to differing demands, prioritizing tasks where appropriate and ensuring complete 'follow through' on outstanding issues.
• Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or government law.
• Knowledge of Intapp conflict checking, ethical wall and business intake software a plus.
