To operate line/machine or inspect/pack finished good parts in a quality and timely manner. Performs miscellaneous duties at supervisor’s or team lead’s request.

Summary:

The Specialty Clinical Pharmacist is responsible and accountable for the provision of safe, effective, and prompt medication therapy. Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Supervisor to lead pharmacy operations and provide guidance to pharmacists, technicians, and support staff. This role ensures efficient pharmacy services, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, operational oversight, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

The Pharmacy Supervisor will also play a key role in staff development, policy implementation, and operational improvements while supporting hospital pharmacy services.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Staff Management:

  • Provide leadership and direction to pharmacy staff including pharmacists, technicians, secretaries, and clinical pharmacy specialists.
  • Participate in human resource functions such as interviewing, training, performance evaluations, and staff scheduling.
  • Promote a positive work environment and ensure staff compliance with departmental and organizational standards.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of pharmacy personnel (approx. 40–50 staff members).


Operational Oversight:

  • Review medication variance reports and allergy interaction reports and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Assist with formulary management to ensure cost-effective medication availability.
  • Maintain and update pharmacy automation systems including Pyxis and APRS databases.
  • Monitor operational metrics and provide weekly/monthly updates to the Director of Pharmacy (DOP).


Clinical & Pharmacy Services:

  • Perform staff pharmacist functions on weekends or as needed, including:
  • Medication order review
  • IV admixture preparation
  • Verification of technician work
  • Ensure optimal medication distribution and safe pharmacy practices.


Collaboration & Committees:

  • Represent pharmacy services on multidisciplinary committees and workgroups.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care processes.
  • Communicate operational updates and process improvements to pharmacy and nursing teams.


Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy


Experience:

  • 3–4 years of pharmacy experience


Licensure:

  • Active Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy License
  • OR
  • Eligible for License Reciprocity


Skills:

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
