Key Responsibilities

• Splunk Platform Management: Install, configure, and maintain Splunk Enterprise, UBA, and SOAR in both on-premises and cloud/hybrid architectures; perform system upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting. Strong preference for any Oracle cloud experience.
• UBA and SOAR Optimization: Customize and fine-tune UBA models for behavioral analytics; configure playbooks, integrations, and automated actions within SOAR to accelerate threat response. Coordinate directly with on-prem/cloud infrastructure teams to maintain and deploy these modules.
• Team Leadership & Mentoring: Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior Splunk team members and peers; delegate tasks, review work quality, facilitate skills development, and foster a collaborative team environment in alignment with mission objectives.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain Splunk best practices in accordance with defense agency security policies, compliance requirements, and data retention standards. Experience with STIGs mandatory.
• Incident Handling: Respond to incidents with appropriate logs and reports; proactively troubleshoot any log/analytic abnormalities preventatively.
• Collaboration & Agile Delivery: Work within Agile project teams, attending ceremonies (stand-ups, sprints, retrospectives) and using Jira for ticketing, backlog tracking, and documentation.
• Knowledge Sharing: Develop, update, and share technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and knowledge articles in alignment with agency practices. Work with many small, medium, and large teams to achieve agency and program objectives.
• Log Management and Analysis: Aggregate and parse logs from diverse data sources; develop and maintain dashboards, reports, alerts, and custom searches to surface actionable intelligence.

Technical Skills:

• Mastery in deploying and managing Splunk Enterprise, UBA, SOAR, and other Splunk modules.
• Experience using scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and data manipulation.
• Mastery in designing and tuning Splunk searches, dashboards, alerts, and CIM compliance.
• Experience with log sources common to defense/enterprise networks (Windows, Linux, network appliances, security devices).
• Experience using Jira for workflow management and Agile methodologies for project delivery.

The Stowers Institute Scientific Data group is seeking a scientific software administrator. The candidate will support computational approaches to world class biological research enabling our understanding of the diverse mechanisms of life and their impact on human health. Responsibilities include installation and testing of cutting-edge software and management of the scientific computational cluster in coordination with the Stowers IT sysadmin group. Experience with scheduled cluster computing is required.

Successful candidates will also have strong communication skills including the ability to assist graduate students and post-docs from multidisciplinary life sciences backgrounds.

Experience with the following applications is required:

Linux/Bash scripting skills

Cluster computing scheduling and administration (preferably via slurm)

Working Conditions

As a Forensic Analyst, you are responsible for managing and conducting investigations related to data collections, forensic data, file, email analysis and data recovery within a wide variety of dynamic environments. Responsibilities

Use network theory and data mining concepts to reveal relationships, patterns trends and statistics, link analysis, time line analysis and data visualization techniques. Meet expected timelines for customer output and reports, based upon findings per customer objectives. Follow accepted forensic protocol to capture media images and conduct analysis needed to provide output and reports to meet customer objectives within the expected timelines.
• Provide effective professional communication with customers through all forms of communication including direct contact, voice, e-mail, fax, etc, while demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate in a fluent, comprehensive and professional manner
• Provide a high level of customer service and technical support as needed or required. Assist case managers with customer conference calls and questions, and help answer customer questions about reports and accessing output data that has been provided to them
• Learn the proper methods and techniques used for conducting forensic investigations. Show the ability to learn and understand the advanced skills necessary to conduct larger scale computer forensic investigations

POSITION – Senior Optical Design Engineer 

Reporting to the Lead, the Senior Optical Design Engineer will collaborate with a talented team of engineers and scientists to help envision and design cutting-edge Myrias Optics components and systems. Specifically, this position will head up Myrias’ design efforts, shaping the optical components and subsystem for our external customers and internal products.  This position will also be responsible for growing and managing the optical design team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and capable engineer to gain expertise in the growing fields of meta-optics, waveguides, and diffractive optics.  Together, we can shape next-generation optical systems for consumer devices, AR/VR, medical instrumentation, automobiles, robotics, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• In collaboration with the technical team, the candidate will perform day-to-day metasurface design and analysis based on Myrias’ proprietary all-inorganic nano-imprint materials and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong experience conducting design and simulation of optical components and systems, such as diffractive optics, imaging systems, optical waveguides, laser systems. 
• Solid understanding of metasurface physics, and diffractive, geometrical, and ray optics. 
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and C/C++ for scientific computing, and workflow automation. 
• Extensive hands-on experience with commercial and custom optical design and simulation tools, including RCWA (e.g., S4), FDTD (Meep or Lumerical), Zemax/CodeV, and RSoft; familiarity with additional modeling techniques and tools such as TMM, FEM, LightTrans, etc., is highly desirable. 
• Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and macOS environments, as well as experience using SLURM for workload and job management. 
• Experience with optical characterization and the ability to experimentally validate designs in a laboratory setting. 
• Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills. 
• Familiarity with CAD design packages (e.g., SolidWorks or AutoCAD) are desirable.
