Overview
Pyramid Systems is seeking an Cloud Logging Engineer (Splunk & AWS) who is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security.
Responsibilities
- Advise on cost efficiency for future usage and cost optimization for current infrastructure.

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years specific to monitoring Centralized Logging Solution (CLS)/Splunk
Subject matter expertise with ALL VAEC Cloud Service Providers which currently includes Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

THE OPPORTUNITY
This engineer will be responsible for completing the Mechanical Engineering portion of projects in support of the Plant Capital execution, as well as Plant Technical support, enabling the plant to meet its Safey, Market, Productivity, and Quality goals. They will assist project teams with pre-studies of deployment and development projects in the M.E. field. They will also complete design studies, follow procurement and fabrication of equipment and lead the installation, commissioning and startup of the equipment in an industrial plant environment. For customer projects, manages the design studies for industrial equipment installations that are necessary for the success of the Plant's capital projects. She / he will ensure adherence to the customer's specifications, local regulations, compliance of performance, and costs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Conduct feasibility studies of functional specifications; evaluate solutions against the criteria of cost, landmarks, risks, and functionality.
- Adhere to the quality system and established methods (risk analyses, FMEA, design reviews, quality planning, treatment of non-Conformities, etc.).
- Acquire validation of key project milestones during the installation, start-up and ramp-up of the equipment in collaboration with team members.
- Facilitate procurement, acceptance inspections, and maintain "as built" drawing packages for assigned material and equipment projects.
- Create budget estimates and bid packages on assigned projects.
- Provide project documentation: mechanical designs, technical offer, safety risk assessment, maintenance & operator training documents and user manuals.
- Lead mechanical contractors or maintenance installation teams during equipment modifications & machine installations through start-up and commissioning.
- Providing project support, especially during installation, start-up and ramp up phases, is often "on-site" and "hands on", and many projects include implementation schedules during holidays and shutdowns.
- Actively support the plant with designed solutions to improve Production, Quality, Maintainability, and Safety metrics.

Physical & Work Requirements
- Work is performed in a professional showroom, customer homes, and occasional active construction sites
- Ability to safely navigate uneven surfaces, stairs, and unfinished spaces during on-site visits
- Light to moderate physical activity required, including standing, walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport flooring and window treatment samples and displays, up to approximately 40–50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone
- Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; may be exposed to typical construction-site conditions such as dust, noise, or temperature variation for short periods

PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This position is responsible for installing, inspecting, servicing/repairing equipment in the field while promoting
and maintaining an image consistent with Rite-Hite's philosophy towards professionalism and customer service.
Service Technicians begin as Level 1 and, as their certified skills grow, move through the different levels following
the Arbon Skills Assessment Pay Program (ASAPP). However, the job responsibilities remain the same throughout.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
* Timely and proper inspection, repair, maintenance, and installation of customer equipment in a manner
that exceeds customer expectations and that is consistent with Rite-Hite's image as the industry leader in
customer service.
* Develop and maintain good customer relations in a manner that exemplifies Rite-Hite's image and
commitment to customer service.
* Compliance with all company policies and safety guidelines.
* Perform installation, inspection, service, and repair of equipment in the field in an expeditious manner
while assuring the customer's needs are met and exceeded. This is mainly accomplished individually but
may sometimes be accomplished in small teams.
* As skills and knowledge develop, guide other Service Technicians with less skills/knowledge through
complex problems in the field. This may include training other Service Technicians in the proper field
installation, service and repair of equipment and proper administrative procedures instilling Rite-Hite's
commitment to customer service.
* Using the handheld devices (or paper backup forms if needed) accurately complete all necessary
paperwork associated with field service, repair, and installation, including service tickets, timesheets,
open job tracking form and safety analysis sheets.
* Maintain compliance with operation and communication standards as per the Field Service Technician
Handbook.
* This position requires the operation of a service vehicle in compliance with DOT Driver Qualification
standards, as well as truck-based cranes, forklifts, welders, torches, and power and hand tools.
* Follow all customer-specific requirements, policies, safety guidelines and directions on their work sites.
* Work closely with all other departments in the company, communicating and coordinating activities to
efficiently maximize customer satisfaction.
* "Occasional (under 10% annually) domestic overnight travel may be required for training, supporting
customers at other offices, etc. may be required."
* Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The successful individual will possess:
* Must have completed Arbon Skills Assessment Pay Program (ASAPP) Level One
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and
* One to five year's experience in repair and service of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical equipment
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS
The ideal individual will demonstrate:
* Service Technicians must have a valid driver's license
* Passing DOT medical exam
* Applicable driver qualification standards at all times.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints & schematics, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of
customers or employees of organization.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or
diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
situations.
