The Aquatics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Aquatics department. This includes ensuring that all team members are working together to uphold Six Flags standards.
Responsibilities:What You Will Be Doing
- Attend and complete an Ellis and Associates National Pool and Lifeguard Training Program and be certified as a Special Facilities lifeguard
- Complete daily inspections to be recorded on company documents
- Create break schedules, and perform break rotations for area of responsibility

Responsibilities:
- Maintaining constant vigilance and supervision of guests in Hurricane Harbor water park
- Recognizing and managing aquatic emergencies by utilizing skills taught by Ellis & Associates ILTP
- Assisting guests with questions concerning rides, directions, and policies
- Remaining at a “Test Ready” skill level at all times
- Adhering to all policies, practices, and procedures outlined in the Ellis & Associates ILTP program
- Adhering to bio-hazardous waste disposal procedures, and perform all related duties in compliance with fecal matter exposure policy
- Attending weekly-scheduled in-service training sessions
- Assisting in other areas of the Aquatics Department

Qualifications:
- At least 16 years old
- Must successfully complete the Ellis & Associates Special Facilities lifeguard course and once completed, may work in any lifeguard capacity within Hurricane Harbor
- Must be able to swim 200 yards in 15 minutes, retrieve a 10-pound brick from the bottom of a pool, tread water for two minutes, and lift yourself out of the pool

Provide the safe and efficient operation of an attraction in Hurricane Harbor with a depth of no more than five fee. Responsible for preventing aquatic emergencies and resolving problems using professional lifeguard skills and techniques.
Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Education and Experience
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
Training or working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and building systems preferred.

Special Requirements
Certified in Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider preferred but not required. Professional Rescuer Level First Aid and CPR/AED required within 90 days of hire if not Lifeguard certified.
Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator license preferred.
SCUBA Certification is preferred, but is not required.

Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually. Maintains all department specific required certifications.
When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor
vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license. Also must be medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of

Aquatics - Deep Water Exercise Instructor

If you're passionate about fitness, enjoy motivating others, and love working in the water, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! The City of Kirkland is seeking qualified instructors to teach deep water exercise classes at the Peter Kirk Pool.
Classes are held Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. This position is open to applicants 18 years of age and older with prior experience teaching group aquatic fitness classes. In this role, you will plan and lead safe, engaging workouts that include warm-ups, conditioning, strength and flexibility exercises, and cool-downs, while demonstrating routines and supporting participants throughout each class.

Aquatics - Pool Cashier
Pay Rate: $18.33 - $21.88

Working Conditions & Physical Activities
Performs work in an indoor facility. The cashier's workstation is located at a front desk in the reception area of the Peter Kirk Pool. Throughout the day there is a high level of patron traffic. Employee works a flexible schedule which may include early mornings, evening hours and weekends. On occasion, must be able to provide own transportation. Hearing and speaking to exchange information, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate standard office machines and pool maintenance equipment. Seeing to read and analyze chemical tests, sitting or standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, or crouching and bending at the waist to conduct tests, lift patrons and/or facility materials of 50 lbs. (With assistance if weight is greater)
Special Note

Excellent opportunity for Physical Therapist seeking to work within one of our specialty clinics treating orthopedics, neurology, sports or aquatics. We will train an eager PT in any one or all of these specialties and invite seasoned PT’s to join us.
