Illumination Works is looking for an OT System Administrator to be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of systems and networks supporting industrial operations. This includes monitoring, securing, and optimizing OT infrastructure such as SCADA systems, HMIs, PLC networks, and industrial control systems (ICS) to ensure uninterrupted production and compliance with cybersecurity best practices.


The key responsibilities of an OT System Administrator include:

  • Administer and support OT systems including SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, and DCS within government-operated facilities
  • Support and manage OT networks and ensure compliance with government cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NIST 800-82, CISA guidelines, FISMA)
  • Maintain availability, integrity, and security of OT networks and systems

  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure segmentation and appropriate integration between IT and OT networks

Job Description:

The Advanced Radar Products Department empowers people to deliver innovative, affordable and producible products and technologies to support airborne Radar solutions throughout the full product lifecycle while remaining accountable for program execution cost, schedule, and performance. As an Electrical Engineer II supporting production, you will be part of a team of highly talented engineers that work on highly complex Radar products and test sets. You will be working as a member of a production support team and under the guidance of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead in McKinney, Texas.

What You Will Do:

  • Managing component obsolescence identification and mitigation
  • Troubleshooting test sets down to component level to include analog and digital interfaces, etc. Includes software
  • Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to circuit card assembly (CCA)/Module and component levels to include analog/digital/RF/power circuitry and interfaces.
  • Work in a team environment to ensure the production and sustainment timelines are maintained.
  • Analysis of test data of products to make sure test specifications are met.
  • Reading and interpreting and applying engineering drawings, including assembly drawings, parts lists, wire lists, and schematics.
  • This position requires daily on-site support and is not open to remote work possibilities

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
  • A minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience with electronics and electrical circuits as well as ability to isolate failures to root cause.
  • Experience reading & interpreting drawings and electrical schematics
  • Experience with lab equipment such as multimeters, signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
  • Experience working on a production program

About the Role

Legacybox is the category leader in media digitization, processing over 150,000 customer orders per year and millions of unique analog assets across film, tape, and photo formats. Our production facility operates at the intersection of legacy physical media, custom hardware, proprietary software, and an increasingly cloud-first delivery model.

We are hiring a Head of Digitizing Systems & Software to own, evolve, and future-proof the core systems that power our digitizing plant. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, measuring, and continuously improving the end-to-end digitizing systems that convert fragile analog media into secure digital assets at scale.

This is a hands-on leadership role. It blends systems engineering, applied R&D, software-hardware integration, labor optimization, and unit-economics discipline. The work spans old and new technologies and requires comfort operating in ambiguity while building durable, repeatable systems.


Key Responsibilities

Digitizing Systems Ownership

  • Own the architecture and performance of Legacybox’s digitizing systems across all formats (film, tapes, photos).
  • Lead the implementation of new digitizing systems designed internally, including custom hardware, software, and workflows.
  • Ensure systems are reliable, measurable, scalable, and economically sound.

R&D and New System Development

  • Research, prototype, and develop next-generation digitizing setups that improve quality, throughput, and margin.
  • Lead R&D initiatives from concept through production rollout.
  • Identify and develop new revenue-generating systems and capabilities.

Order Management System Leadership

  • Help architect, build, and lead the order management system that tracks and orchestrates millions of unique physical and digital assets annually.
  • Collaborate across software, production, and operations teams to support approximately 15 distinct workflows.
  • Ensure system accuracy, traceability, and resilience at scale.

Profitability and Economics

  • Conduct profitability analysis on new systems, workflows, and production setups.
  • Model unit economics, capex tradeoffs, labor impact, and ROI for proposed changes.
  • Partner with leadership to prioritize investments based on margin and strategic value.

Labor and Time Studies

  • Perform detailed time studies to understand how human labor interacts with machines and software.
  • Optimize workflows to balance automation, quality, throughput, and cost.
  • Design systems that respect real-world production constraints.

Measurement, Monitoring, and Troubleshooting

  • Define success metrics for systems performance, reliability, and quality.
  • Build feedback loops to monitor system health and identify failure points.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of system errors and production bottlenecks.

Forward-Looking Technology Leadership

  • Advance Legacybox’s cloud-first digitizing model and file delivery systems.
  • Integrate AI considerations into capture, processing, QA, and workflow optimization.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies relevant to digitization, automation, and asset management.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with production, operations, software, finance, and leadership.
  • Serve as a technical authority and decision-maker for digitizing systems.
