Qualifications we're looking for:

  • A Master's degree in speech-language pathology or a related field
  • Licensure from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
  • Eligibility for North Carolina licensure as a speech-language pathologist through the Department of Public Instruction

Job Location: DFW Airport Ampersand Terminal C36 - DFW Airport, TX

Position Type: Full-Time (at least 40 hours) & Part-Time (20-30 hours)

Job Shift: Morning, Mid Day, Evening, All.

Compensation: Starting pay is $12 per hour plus up to $6-8 per hour in tips. Average pay for the position is $18-20 Hourly, Pay includes a base pay plus tips.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Customer service experience preferred, barista experience a plus.
  • Must be able to pass an FAA required 10-year criminal background check
  • Ability to obtain and Airport ID Badge within 20-30 days of employment
  • Ability to provide legal identification and to work in the United States
  • Food Handler Certification, or the ability to obtain certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment
  • You have strong social skills and love to meet new people
  • You have the ability to stay calm and enjoy working in a fast and exciting environment
  • You love to learn new things and are able to pick up new skills quickly
  • You have the ability to understand and follow verbal & written instructions, policies & rules, and to request assistance when needed

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Barista provides Ampersand service to both internal and external guests
  • Ensuring that each guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging guests, maintaining solid product knowledge, providing assistance and making suggestions to guests regarding product decisions, extensive use of suggestive selling methods
  • This position has a strong focus on assisting guests with food and beverage
  • Stay calm during periods of high volume to keep the store operating properly and set a positive example for the team
  • Treat guest and peers in accordance with the core values of the company
  • Regularly utilize established communication in the store
  • Process all point of sale transactions in a quick, efficient manner while complying with the companys Cash Handling and Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintains the highest level of standards for all product preparation and presentation
  • Educates guest on vendors products and is knowledgeable of coffee in all aspects
  • Build guest loyalty and enhance selling skills by using available training materials
  • Maintain clean organized work environment that is free of safety hazards including trash removal, sweeping, mopping and dishes
  • Keep the store clean, stocked, organized and decorate customer display areas
  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge to enhance the culture, values and mission of the brand and AMPM Hospitality while following operational policies and procedures, including those for safety and security
  • Restock and assist with inventory as needed
  • Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws and regulation including those relating to food safety
  • Perform other duties as requested by management

Work Environment and Context

  • Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
