SCOPE OF WORK

Job Summary
To provide instructional, recruiting and organizational expertise for the Men's Basketball program at Georgia Tech, supporting the Head Coach in building an environment that inspires and empowers student-athletes to be champions in academics, competition, and life.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Coach in evaluating individual and team strengths and developing strategies for skill improvement.
- Support the Head Coach with all games, scrimmages, and practices.
- Support the Head Coach in providing appropriate discipline for student-athletes for violations of team rules or Georgia Tech and Association regulations, or conduct impacting upon team matters, team policies or the reputation of Georgia Tech and the Association.
- Assist the Head Coach and support staff in planning and supervising programs for player training, conditioning, and drug education and testing.
- Assist the Head Coach in recommending students for athletic grant-in-aid scholarships from Georgia Tech.
- Assist the Head Coach with the recruitment of student-athletes for the Men's Basketball program.
- Direct Men's Basketball program student-athletes to the appropriate resources for assistance regarding financial aid, academic advisement, and general student needs provided by Georgia Tech or the Association.
- Assist the Head Coach and support staff with providing appropriate program safety requirements.
- Promote an atmosphere of compliance within the Men's Basketball program, Cooperate with the Association compliance office regarding NCAA rules and policies, including reporting requirements. Make a determined effort to utilize available compliance resources.
- Support the Head Coach and Association administration in monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes to facilitate pursuit of a baccalaureate degree.
- Participate in public relations and promotions for the Men's Basketball program as assigned, and support the Communications and Public Relations department in the preparation of Men's Basketball program materials and resources.
- Partner with The Alexander-Tharpe Fund as needed in fundraising efforts to support the Men's Basketball program, Georgia Tech, and the Association, including encouraging contributions.
- Assist the Head Coach in overseeing the preparation and update of the equipment inventory for the Men's Basketball program in partnership with the equipment manager.
- Assist the Head Coach with expending operational resources budgeted to the Men's Basketball program in a manner consistent with Georgia Tech and Association policies.
- Represent Georgia Tech the Association as requested with efforts and initiatives involving Georgia Tech partners, including the Alexander-Tharpe Fund and Alumni Association, and with intercollegiate athletics organizations such as the NCAA and ACC.
- Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with key internal and external constituents.

SCOPE OF WORK
Responds to complaint calls in order of priority to, set traps, capture loose, stray, sick, injured, or abandoned animals; investigate animal abuse, neglect, and/or nuisance.
Conducts general investigations of animal related problems including, but not limited to animal cruelty and neglect, aggressive and dangerous dogs, animals running at-large, barking, permitting, licensing and impounding of animals all which may involve hostile, irate or distressed members of the public, in a tactful, professional and effective manner.
Patrols an assigned zone in order to identify/capture stray animals, responds to calls/complaints, and enforces animal care ordinances; captures a variety of animals in order to protect the community and to protect animals from injury/death.
Apprehends and confines stray, injured, aggressive/dangerous and nuisance animals in the most safe, humane and approved manner possible. Transports animals to sheltering facility and/or veterinary clinic.
Performs routine medical procedures/evaluation upon animals while in the field including but not limited to, conducts basic medical triage as needed; euthanize animals if necessary and permitted; and administers first-aid when necessary.
Performs routine medical procedures/evaluation upon incoming animals including but not limited to, administers oral and injectable medications; conducts basic medical triage as needed; euthanize animals if necessary and permitted; and administers first-aid when necessary.
Mediates animal issues between citizens; educates members of the public about laws and regulations on animal care; takes immediate action if necessary; gathers evidence and information for further investigation as indicated; documents information; consults with supervisors and/or management staff regarding cases of a complex or unusual nature; works with local law enforcement agencies, issues civil citations to responsible parties for animal-related issues; provides testimony on investigations and findings; performs related duties as assigned.

- Lead in project interviews and ongoing project delivery.
- Preconstruction and Project Management Oversight, which shall involve working closely with the Project Management and Field Teams to ensure a seamless project delivery. This may include the following, depending on specific project details:
- Establishment, Implementation, and Support of BIM and other technologies, and partners to support our future preconstruction efforts.
- Oversight of Field Staff (Superintendents, Site Foreman, Project Engineers, Etc) and construction projects from start to finish
- Oversight of Project Estimating, Planning, Budgeting, and Identification of Resources. Working in these capacities as necessary and appropriate depending on the team’s workload.
- Oversight of coordination of the efforts of all parties involved in a project, including owner-reps, architects, consultants, and general contractors.
- Contract and pricing revisions and negotiations with the client and project ownership
- Oversight of production scheduling and execution; ensuring the project meets the scheduling requirements.
- Periodic inspection of construction sites.
- Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims. Work with the Project Managers to carefully review these conditions with clients and teams.
- The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000 plus variable sales incentive pay. (The compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience).
Qualifications:
- An expert at preconstruction, construction management, and mechanical / plumbing estimating with a focus on Life Science and Biotech mechanical systems.
- Sales/Customer (5+ years) and capable of expanding Hermanson’s expertise and relationships in life science and biotech markets
- Excel and Bluebeam proficiency preferred.
- The qualified candidate must have demonstrated the ability to analyze and perform pursue/no pursue and bid/no bid recommendations and develop pursuit strategies for new business opportunities. The position will also require previous experience in evaluation, competitive environment assessment, value-based pricing, price to win analyses and probability of winning. A proven track record of negotiation and closing high value contracts involving strategic business relationships. A candidate must have the following experience:
- Contract negotiation with GC executives, Owners, Sr. PMs, & key personnel
- Familiarity with Estimating, project management, engineering functions and practices

SUMMARY
As a key member of the Preconstruction and Estimating team, the Estimator plays a critical role in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates across all project stages—from schematic through construction documents.
