Position Summary


The IS Epic Cache Database Administrator will be responsible for implementing and supporting Epic Database Solutions that take into account appropriate redundancy, availability, scalability, security and manageability requirements of Lakeland Regional Health’s IS Department. This individual will be part of a team that is responsible for the technical strategy, vision, architecture and evolution of LRH’s Epic implementation(s), infrastructure and ancillary technologies. This is a technical position providing analysis, configuration, maintenance, modification and monitoring of all Epic CachΓ© and SQL databases. The ideal individual understands and supports best practices and requirements for data storage, database architecture, tuning, maintenance and reporting, ensuring hardware and software compatibility and optimization. Standard Work: IS Epic Cache Database Administrator

  • Implements, manages and maintains the Epic SQL Database infrastructure, including installing/upgrading and/or deploying Epic applications on servers and clients using Kuiper, and System Pulse. Installs database software (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server or InterSystems CachΓ©)
  • Manage and maintain Epic databases for Hyperspace, EPS, Web BLOB, Hyperspace Web, BCA, MyChart, Carelink\Healthy Planet, Haiku, Rover, Care Everywhere, Home Health, Kuiper, and System Pulse services
  • Performs technical analysis, configuration, maintenance, modification and monitoring of databases on a variety of platforms including SQL, Cache, Windows Server OS and Linux
  • Uses processes for monitoring performance of installed systems or services and takes corrective actions when necessary. Uses tools for capacity planning, reporting, and proactive problem solving. The Senior HPC Administrator, High Performance Computational and Data Ecosystem, is responsible for a computational and data science ecosystem for researchers at Mount Sinai. This ecosystem includes high-performance computing (HPC) systems, clinical research databases, and a software development infrastructure for local and national projects. To meet Sinai’s scientific and clinical goals, the Senior Administrator has a good technical understanding for computational, data and software development systems along with a strong focus on customer service for researchers. The HPC Senior Administrator is an expert troubleshooter and productive team member and leads projects to effective and efficient completion independently under little to no supervision. This position reports to the Director for Computational & Data Ecosystem in Scientific Computing. Specific responsibilities are listed below.


Responsibilities


  • Design, deploy and maintain Scientific Computing’s computational and data science ecosystem including ~30,000 cores with high bandwidth, low latency interconnects, GPUs, large shared memory nodes, databases, scientific workflows and 30+ petabytes of storage in production, clinical data warehouse and software development environment.
  • Lead the troubleshooting, isolation and resolution of all technical issues including application, system, hardware, software, and network). Actively monitors the systems.
  • Maintains, tunes and manages computational, data, cloud technologies and workflow systems for ISMMS researchers, scientists and their external collaborators. How will you make an impact?

  • Under limited supervision, develops and maintains test procedures, tester hardware, and software for electronic circuit board production.

What will you do ?

  • Review circuit board designs for testability requirements.
  • Support manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, reduction of intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment.
  • Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures to be used from the product design phase through to initial production.
  • Generate reports and analysis of test data, prepare documentation and recommendations.
  • Review test equipment designs, data, and RMA issues with customers regularly.
  • Design, and direct engineering and technical personnel in fabrication of testing and test control apparatus and equipment.
  • Direct and coordinate engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test, record, and reduce test data.
  • Determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
  • Direct and exercise control over operational, functional, and performance phases of tests.
  • Perform moderately complex assignments of the engineering test function for standard and/or custom devices.
  • Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for use by test engineering and management personnel.
  • Develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on machinery and equipment.
  • Perform semi-routine technique development and maintenance, subject to established Jabil standards, including ISO and QS development standards.
  • May provide training in new procedures for production testing staff.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university preferred; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:Β 

  • Direct L10, L11, and L12 test expertise, strong Linux programming skills, and solid knowledge of GPU/CPU systems, understanding of cloud platforms and driving high-quality testing and technical excellence in a manufacturing test performance floor.

JOB SUMMARY

Jabil is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development who will directly contribute to the transformative growth within our Enterprise and Intelligent Infrastructure division by applying unique and innovative approaches to solving problems within a large-scale software production environment. You and your team will be responsible for contributing to the end-to-end architecture, definition, development and production deployment of production software applications and infrastructure spanning multiple customers and manufacturing regions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • People manager for a team of software developers and product engineers in support of global cloud operations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the complete software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Agile, CICD, and SLDC process implementation and application experience.
  • Knowledge/Expertise in the following programming/scripting languages: Python, BASH, Java experience a plus.
  • Linux development experience with a solid understanding of its fundamentals and internals: Ubuntu/ CentOS
  • Well-versed in the following container/virtualization environments: VMware, Docker.
  • Solid understanding of large-scale distributed systems in practice, including multi-tier architectures, application security, monitoring and storage systems.
  • Experience with front-end and back-end Web UI design.
  • Experience with common web APIs (REST, XML-RPC).
  • Experience with hardware and API solutions for controlling, managing and stressing L10 devices (servers, network and storage SSDs, NVMe): IPMI, Redfish, mprime, FIO, Linpack, ptugen, memtester
  • Experience in the creation and configuration(DHCP, PXE boot, nginx) of Virtual Machines (VMs), VMWare preferred.

  • 10+ years’ experience in a software development/test capacity with enterprise server, storage, or networking products. 3+ years people management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience directly managing software development teams
  • Experience managing remote, multi-national and geographically dispersed development teams.
