The Nurse Advice Line performs clinical triage and review of inbound member and patient calls to the PHP Nurse Advice Line to ensure that services rendered to customers meet clinically appropriate direction and triage. Utilizes clinical skills to coordinate, document, and communicate all aspects of the appropriate clinical advice and triage based on criteria and in adherence to adopted protocols. Clinical triage includes all levels of acuity of medical presentations. Assists callers and members with coordination of care to in plan providers and appropriate urgent and emergent care. Validates and interprets medical information from callers using evidence-based criteria sets. Consults with PHP medical directors on non-emergent cases where protocols are not clear. May work varied shifts and performs occasional on-call assignments
Some key responsibilities include:
Receives, triages, verifies, and processes requests for clinical triage and medical advice from health plan members and their representatives. Callers may have varying degrees of acuity in presentation and symptoms presented.
Uses clinical protocols to assess advice to callers, and documents discussion and information relayed.
May work with stakeholders and primary and specialty providers across the state to identify most appropriate direction of care based on call. Uses critical thinking to gauge risks, determine acuity of caller s situation and make evidence based decisions on information and advice provided.
Legally documents all calls and information discussed. Records and refers all pertinent information accordingly.
May collaborate with other resources such as behavioral health clinicians or crisis staff to best direct callers.
Advises manager of trends in calls and potential quality of care and legal issues.
Communicates effectively with providers, PHP medical directors, PCSC staff, and other applicable PHS departments to deliver sound and appropriate advice.
Qualifications:
Associates degree.
New Mexico Board of Nursing RN License with Multi-State Compact Licensure status required, with at least 3 years of RN experience in clinical setting, emergency medicine, urgent care, or managed care experience.
Experienced analytical skills as applicable to interpret medical records.
Experience with detailed research, coordination and organizational skills.
Demonstrated critical thinking skills as evidenced by experience, education, and/or the pre-hire interview process.

Perform pre and post-operative activities to facilitate optimal patient care. Works closely with surgeons in the operating room during a surgical procedure. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and during an operation, assist the surgeon with tasks such as selecting equipment, holding open incisions, stopping bleeding, closing the incision, among other technical tasks. Clearing the area where the surgeon will operate and holding open incisions by using tissue retractors, sponges, or operating
suction or irrigation equipmentSelecting and passing instruments and supplies during an operation
Stopping bleeding by sponging, clamping, tying, or cauterizing vessels, or suturing tissue layers as directed by the surgeon
Applying dressings to surgical wounds
Counting sponges, needles, and other materials before and after the operation
Closing the incision at the end of the procedure
Follow facility protocol and policy as well as other state and federal laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required and completion of an accredited surgical first assistant program. Associates degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as Surgical Tech. Preferred experience as a CSFA or SA-C in diverse surgical specialties and proficiency with robotic and minimally invasive surgical
techniques.
Certifications: Certified Surgical First Assistant (CFSA) or Surgical Assistant-Certified (SA-C) required.

Assesses and interprets patient data to identify ageβspecific needs and provide appropriate care for Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patient groups.
Independently circulates, scrubs, and records Adult Diagnostic/Interventional procedures and at least three of the following five service areas: Electrophysiology, Pediatrics, Neuro Intervention, Structural Heart, and Vascular.
Holds responsibility for an assigned area or program (Electrophysiology, Cardiac Devices, Pediatrics, Neuro Intervention, Structural Heart, and/or Vascular) that supports the operation of the Cardiovascular Laboratory (CVL).
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Invasive Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary Technologist program, radiology, Respiratory therapy, paramedic; Surgical Tech (Certificate must be 1 yr. min program). 3 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
Additionally, 1 year of adult Cath lab diagnostic and interventional procedure in performing scrubbing, circulating and monitoring and recording duties.
RCIS or RCES or must be signed up for RCIS test within 18 months of employment and obtained within 2 years of employment. RCES for EP must be signed up for test within 30 months of employment and obtained within 3 years of employment.

Responsibilities:
Leadership & Operations
Provide clinical leadership and direct supervision to hospice and home health RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support staff.
Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring efficient workflow, positive team engagement, and adherence to care standards.
Serve as a resource and mentor for clinical staff, fostering continued learning and professional development.
Clinical Oversight
Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.
Conduct case reviews, monitor clinical documentation, and support care planning.
Participate in on-call rotation as needed to support clinical operations.
Regulatory & Quality Management
Maintain compliance with Medicare/Medicaid, state regulations, and agency policies.
Support quality improvement initiatives, including audits, performance metrics, and corrective action plans.
Lead patient safety efforts and ensure timely incident reporting and follow-up.
Collaboration & Communication
Partner with physicians, social workers, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care.
Collaborate closely with administrative leadership on staffing, budgeting, and strategic planning.
Build positive relationships with patients, families, and the community.
Qualifications:
Current and active RN license in the state of New Mexico or out of state-compact license
Bachelorβs degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Masterβs degree preferred.
Minimum 3β5 years of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or related field.
Previous leadership or supervisory nursing experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of hospice philosophy and home health regulations
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.

- Actively participates in the development of clinical guidelines and pathways and incorporates processes into the role of case managers.
- Educates providers on health management strategies which can reduce need for one-on-one case management services. Educate physicians, nurses, ancillary support staff, patients, and families regarding case management role.
- Refers patients to appropriate inpatient, outpatient, and community resources.
- Promotes the appropriate use of clinical and financial resources in order to improve the quality of care and patient satisfaction. Collect clinical path variance data that indicate potential areas for improvement of case and services provided within the system. Generates reports, which demonstrate efficacy through direct cost-savings and outcome measures.
- Complies with Case management Society of America Standards for Case Management Practice and with CCMC code of Professional Conduct for Case Managers.

Qualifications:
*Associates Degree in Nursing
*State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
*BLS certification REQUIRED at at time or hire
*Five years of experience in clinical nursing with a minimum of three to five in case management, utilization management, quality assurance, home care, community health, or occupational health.
*CCM certification within 3 years of hire.Β
