Hospital Sisters Health System is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to lead our Central Illinois Market and Physician Enterprise. The market structure includes five Illinois HSHS Hospitals, the System's outpatient physician group, and is based at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.
This position holds direct responsibility for the financial operations and proper application of accounting principles, practices, and procedures for all financial activities of the market operations. The CFO is responsible for monitoring the financial performance and the maintenance of appropriate financial plans and forecasts. This role reports directly to the Central Illinois Market President & CEO with matrixed reporting into the HSHS Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and the Physician Enterprise President.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned collaborative financial leader, ideally with prior CFO experience, that is comfortable managing in a matrix environment. This individual must have a proven track record in successfully managing all financial operations of a region made up of multiple acute care and outpatient settings by collaborating with other leaders to optimize success. The ideal candidate is also comfortable participating in establishing and implementing strategic business plans and aligning operations and strategy within the market and with overall Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) strategies and goals. This leader must be comfortable flexing responsibility across multiple locations and continue to evolve to align with market structures. Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required.
- Master's degree in finance, business, health care administration, or related field is preferred.
- Ten or more years of accounting and/or finance experience is required; four out of the ten years must be in a hospital system or hospital market setting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
- 5+ years of hospital or Regional CFO experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with an employed physician group and/or ACO is highly preferred.

3. What you’ll do
You'll own the full sales cycle at Peerbound, from first touch to signed contract. You'll work directly with our CEO and Head of Sales to build the enterprise motion from the ground up. This is not a role where you inherit a book of business; this is a role where you create one.
Build pipeline from scratch. Prospect into Marketing leaders at B2B SaaS companies. Generate your own opportunities through outbound, events, and relationships. While you will have SDRs helping you, you will not be successful if you can’t fill your own pipeline. You'll also have a great product built by a world-class engineering team, strong positioning, and the freedom to be creative about how you fill the funnel.
Run and close complex deals. Lead executive-level discovery. Tell a compelling story about why customer proof points are the next competitive battleground. Articulate clear value and ROI to every buyer you sell to. Navigate multi-threaded procurement cycles across security, legal, procurement, and finance. Close real contracts with real urgency.
Shape the playbook. Every process, every template, every lesson learned will have your name on it. Feed buyer insights back into product, marketing, and GTM strategy. Our sales team will be built on the foundation you lay.
4. Who you are
5+ years of full-cycle B2B SaaS sales, with experience closing five-figure and six-figure deals. You've carried a $1M quota and you know the difference between forecasting a deal and actually closing one. You can sell to VPs and C-suite buyers and you can sell change, not just software.
You have a quantifiable, consistent track record of outperformance in your career. You can build pipeline without relying on inbound or SDRs. You know how to create urgency, build relationships, and stay disciplined operationally. You crave the pace, ambiguity, and autonomy of a startup-up where you have to figure things out yourself.

5. Compensation
OTE of $210,000 to $270,000/year (with uncapped commission) plus meaningful equity and benefits (fully covered medical / vision / dental, 401K, flexible PTO). In-person 5 days a week in our NYC office near Penn Station.

Position Summary
The Vice President (VP) of Sales and Marketing is a strategic executive leadership role reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the Executive Leadership Team. This position leads and aligns MedPharm’s Business Development, Project Management, and Marketing functions with the shared goal of accelerating sustainable revenue growth. The VP of Sales and Marketing is responsible for setting and executing the company’s commercial strategy, cultivating client relationships, driving top-line performance, and leading a high-performing cross-functional team that represents MedPharm in the market. This leader will ensure consistent delivery of integrated solutions across all stages of the client lifecycle—from lead identification to contract signing and program execution—within the context of MedPharm’s CDMO business focused on topical and transdermal drug development and manufacturing.
Essential Functions
Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Own and execute the commercial strategy to grow MedPharm’s development and manufacturing services globally.
- Lead the Business Development and Project Management functions to ensure alignment across pre-sales, proposal generation, contracting, and program delivery.
- Serve as a primary driver of growth strategy, pipeline development, forecasting, and sales target achievement.
- Partner with the CEO and Executive Team to provide insight and updates to the Board of Directors on growth initiatives, pipeline strength, and go-to-market performance.
Team Management & Performance
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing Business Development and Project Management teams.
- Coach team members to continuously improve client engagement, customer service, proposal requests, technical positioning, and deal closure capabilities.
- Establish KPIs and reporting tools to monitor team effectiveness, sales pipeline health, and client satisfaction.
- Cultivate a collaborative and accountable culture that fosters internal alignment and a unified client experience.
Commercial Execution
- Lead pricing discussions in coordination with Finance and Technical teams to ensure profitable, competitive proposals.
- Lead contracting and negotiation in collaboration with legal and operational leadership.
Market Positioning & Intelligence
- Direct marketing efforts to strengthen the MedPharm brand, elevate market visibility, and clearly communicate service differentiation.
- Analyze market trends, client feedback, and competitor activity to inform strategic planning and identify emerging opportunities.
- Contribute to cross-functional development of new service offerings and solutions based on market needs and internal capabilities.
Operational & Financial Oversight
- · Collaborate with functional peers across Technical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance to ensure effective internal handoffs and delivery of contracted programs.
- Develop and manage department budgets; ensure optimal allocation of resources to achieve strategic goals.

Education and Experience
- At least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with at least 5 years’ experience as Business Development Director or equivalent Bachelor’s of Science Degree required, MBA preferred.
- Combined CRO and cGMP experience preferred. Demonstrated customer focus – a track record of building and maintaining positive customer relationships and key business outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience growing business through leadership of commercial functions, including Business Development, Project Management, and Marketing.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing cross-functional sales teams in pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors.
- Experience managing global client relationships across North America, Europe, and ideally Asia.

Background and Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of hands-on litigation experience representing nursing homes, assisted living, or healthcare providers, including significant trial experience and full-cycle case management
- Defense experience preferred, with demonstrated insight into plaintiff strategies and case valuation
- Proven ability to bring a fresh, strategic approach to case prosecution and resolution, including a willingness to challenge traditional defense/insured models and explore innovative litigation strategies
