Starting Salary: $ 17.00 - $ 21.00 Hourly



Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 3pm-11pm (Evenings)



We are seeking a Transitional Youth Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. Your role will oversee clients in daily activities while teaching new skills, ensuring safety, and managing behaviors. As a member of the Pathways team, you will work with other team members and report to our Program Manager.



WHAT YOU WILL DO:




  • Responsible for direct supervision and safety of all clients
  • Responsible for proper behavior management of children through the use of behavior management techniques.
  • Build healthy relationships with clients and be a role model of healthy behaviors
  • Have a working knowledge of the child's treatment plan and objectives and structure activities to support that plan.
  • Responsible for creatively structuring activities for groups and conducting psycho-educational groups.
  • May be responsible for medication administration and other medical support.
  • Responsible for the review/writing of all required documentation.
  • Responsible for teaching, guiding, and assisting the client in daily life skills as appropriate for age.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING:



Our ideal candidate will have 2 years of relevant experience working with children and the following:




  • At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening
  • A valid driver's license, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Minimum Requirement: Education Level: High school diploma. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in social services, child development, or criminal justice

Position description

The O'Donnell Center for Behavioral Economics and Finance, housed jointly in the Haas School of Business and the Department of Economics, seeks applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar-Employee, with expertise in behavioral economics or behavioral finance, and strong econometric or theory training.



The Postdoctoral Scholar will be part of Berkeley's O'Donnell Center for Behavioral Economics and Finance, housed jointly in the Haas School of Business and the Department of Economics. The center's mission is to support rigorous academic research in various areas of behavioral economics, including all areas of applied microeconomics, financial economics, macro-finance, political economy, public economics, and health economics. We also pursue research in collaboration with researchers in neuroscience, cognitive science, and medicine. Ulrike Malmendier and Stefano Della Vigna, both joint faculty members at the Haas School of Business and the Department of Economics, co-direct the center. Faculty from the departments of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Economics, the Haas Business School, the School of Public Health, the Goldman School of Public Policy, and the Information School are affiliated with the initiative. Ulrike Malmendier will be the primary faculty lead.



Duties of Position:

The position offers direct engagement in new and exciting research opportunities and personal mentorship from faculty and other researchers on the team. Scholars will gain an expanded network of collaborators and become members of the UC Berkeley research community by actively participating in seminar series and taking advantage of various internal workshops to present and receive feedback on their work. The postdoctoral scholar will also have time for their own complementary research. The scholar will also be expected to join and develop a research agenda in collaboration with their supervisor.



Areas of research interest include, but are not limited to:

-models and empirical evidence of belief formation in macro-finance, especially work on experience effects and memory formation;

-household decision-making: household finance, health choices, consumption

-firm decision-making: corporate finance and in particular managerial biases, including overconfidence, sunk-cost fallacy, and hindsight bias;

-neuroscience foundations of modern models of belief formation and economic/financial decision-making mental health, trauma.



Applicants are expected to pitch their existing research. They may also at their discretion (1) propose possible areas of collaboration, including concrete project ideas, and (2) contribute to possible projects of collaboration proposed by us.

Scholars with strengths in applied microeconometrics, field experiments, and applied data science (including machine learning and computational methods for working with unstructured data) are particularly encouraged.

Physical Requirements:

This is a hybrid role with one to two remote days per week and the remaining days onsite in clinic.

About the role

As an Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician, you will serve as a core member of a collaborative care team, working closely with primary care providers and psychiatric consultants to support patients with mild to moderate behavioral health needs.


You will provide short‑term, solution‑focused interventions, monitor treatment progress, and help patients build sustainable self‑management strategies. This role blends in‑person and virtual care, allowing you to focus on clinical work while being supported by a larger care infrastructure.


Primary responsibilities

• Provide brief, evidence‑based behavioral health interventions using modalities such as CBT, behavioral activation, problem‑solving treatment, and motivational interviewing

• Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance use conditions

• Coordinate care with primary care providers and psychiatric consultants

• Track patient progress using measurement‑based care

• Support medication adherence and monitor treatment response

• Participate in regular psychiatric case consultations

• Develop relapse prevention and self‑management plans for patients nearing discharge


Required qualifications

• Active Tennessee license: LCSW, LPC‑MHSP, LMFT, or LMSW

• 3 or more years of experience treating behavioral health conditions

• At least 1 year of experience in a medical, primary care, or integrated care setting

• Experience using evidence‑based, brief interventions


Preferred qualifications

• Experience working within the Collaborative Care Model

• Strong organizational and follow‑up skills

• Comfort working both in person and via telehealth

• Ability to adapt to technology‑enabled care models

The salary range for this role is $60,000 to $76,000 annually based on full-time employment.
