This is a pivotal, hands-on role that blends CNC manufacturing expertise, RFQ/quoting ownership, and product engineering leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong experience supporting CNC-machined components from RFQ through production, collaborating closely with engineering, operations, and suppliers. Key Responsibilities:
- Own and develop accurate, competitive CNC RFQs and production quotes for complex machined components and assemblies.
- Analyze customer drawings, specifications, and RFQs to determine manufacturing feasibility, machining strategy, and cost drivers.
- Translate customer requirements into manufacturable CNC solutions, considering tolerances, materials, cycle times, and production methods.
- Collaborate with engineering, CNC programmers, machinists, and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, quality, and cost.
- Support CNC production planning by validating routings, estimating run times, tooling needs, and labor requirements.
- Lead product definition, requirements gathering, and business case development for new and existing products.
- Coordinate prototype builds, first articles, testing, and validation to support customer and internal approvals.
- Partner with sourcing and supply chain teams to support supplier evaluation, CNC sourcing decisions, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Monitor product performance, quality metrics, and production feedback, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams and external partners related to CNC processes and quoting assumptions.
- Track and report key performance indicators including revenue, margin, quoting accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Significant hands-on experience in a CNC machine shop environment.
- Proven experience with CNC RFQs, CNC quoting, and supporting CNC production in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes (turning, milling, multi-axis preferred), materials, tolerances, and GD&T/blueprint reading.
- Demonstrated experience estimating cycle times, labor, tooling, and overhead for CNC-machined components.
- Experience working closely with CNC programmers, machinists, and production teams.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and experience navigating ERP/MRP systems.
- Industry experience in aerospace, pipe fittings, hydraulics, hoses, or similar precision manufacturing sectors.
- Strong problem-solving skills, assertiveness, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical and cost concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Compensation Range: $115,000-$135,000 + 15% Bonus

ROLE*: The position available is Technical Director (TD). Under the direction of the Director of Production and Creative Services (DPCS), the TD leads a team of experienced event technicians. The TD and his team are involved in each event from beginning to end. It starts with a member of our technical team meeting with our clients to understand their goals and vision for their event. They then design a solution, prepare all necessary elements and are ultimately responsible for its flawless execution.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technical Expertise
- The TD is responsible for ensuring that the technical aspects of all our events are done properly and safely. Those include but are not limited to video, audio, lighting, streaming, rigging and power distribution.
- The TD it is expected that he or she would know how to engage experts in areas of need. That can be from existing team members or outside resources.
- It is expected that the TD will consistently work towards becoming proficient in all areas of technology that ITA offers.
- Employee Supervision
- The TD will have a team of dedicated event technicians that report directly to him/her.
- The TD will be responsible for the day to day management of the techs including:
- Assigning daily tasks and verifying successful completion
- Going onsite to events to ensure things are being done correctly and safely
- Arranging for skill development during down times
- Creating weekly schedules

Technical Designer, Furniture
SAUSALITO, CA
Serena & Lily is seeking a Technical Furniture Designer to join our Design Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the technical development process of all furniture categories. This role involves ensuring that quality, accuracy and on time execution in a cost-effective manner of all furniture projects from concept to production, are met while maintaining brand integrity. This position reports directly to CDO.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Translate design direction from CDO into detailed technical specs with accurate renderings to illustrate concept ideals.
- Develop and implement product development strategies aligned with company goals and market trends.
- Identify opportunities for innovation in furniture production, materials, and production processes.
Project Management
- Translate design direction from CDO into detailed technical specs with accurate renderings to illustrate concept ideals.
- Oversee the product development lifecycle, from initial renderings to cads, to sample and swatch reviews.
- Clearly communicate to agents and vendors calls outs and comments in a timely manner.
- Develop new finishes and color panels and ensure consistency through production.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Own the sharing of information in weekly PD meetings.
- Keep all documents and shared tools current and up to date.
- Maintain and organize swatch libraries.
- Cad all cushions where applicable and all outdoor covers for outdoor collections.
- Confirm PI sheets are accurate.
- Review and comment on furniture renewal swatches in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, Product Development, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in furniture product development.
- Strong knowledge of furniture design, materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
- Proven track record of managing multiple complex product development projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A high level of proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and project management tools.
- Experience with sustainability practices in furniture design is a plus.
COMPENSATION:
- $100-130k per year is the anticipated starting base pay for this role. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this role. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, education, and skills.

Qualifications
Assistant Tech -
- Minimum 1 year experience in Technical design - Internship experience is acceptable
- Associate Tech - Minimum 2-3 years experience in Technical design
- Experience with Technical Design and a strong understanding of Garment Construction
- Proficiency in Fitting processes and Pattern Making
- Knowledge of Architecture principles as they apply to apparel design
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field preferred
- Proficient Microsoft Excel skill is required
