Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Preconstruction Manager to lead electrical preconstruction strategy across multiple projects and pursuits. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and preparing electrical scopes from early design through turnover to operations. The position ensures electrical systems are fully defined, coordinated, constructible, and aligned with project goals.

Working closely with Estimating, Design, Operations, and senior leadership, this role supports pursuits through scope development, design coordination, budgeting, scheduling, procurement planning, and risk mitigation. The Senior Electrical Preconstruction Manager also contributes to value engineering, supports major project pursuits, and helps mentor preconstruction staff while promoting best practices and continuous improvement within the electrical department.

Must Have

• BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required. Equivalent work experience and training may be considered.
• Additional coursework in project management, construction management, electrical trade school, BIM, or CADD preferred.
• 5-10+ years of experience in the electrical industry, including 2+ years as an Electrical Project Manager or in Electrical Preconstruction required.
• Experience developing conceptual estimates and managing design for electrical and telecommunications/data systems highly desirable.
• Experience in design-build government (DoD), military, or large commercial construction projects preferred.
• Proficiency with MS 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) preferred.
• Experience with McCormick, Bluebeam Revu, P6, Autodesk Cloud, or similar construction software required.

The Electrical Instrument Technician maintains, constructs and repairs electrical distribution, lighting, computer and PLC systems within the plant, as well as assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures. They will also diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

This position is for night shift Wednesday thru Saturday. 4pm-4am

• Calibrates, designs, reconfigures, assembles, installs, inspects and maintains electrical systems and equipment, such as motors, generators, commutators, speed reducers, switchboards, circuit boards, lighting circuits, SCR, electronic control devices, computers and circuits, etc.; uses blueprints and related resources to complete tasks and checks/verifies work to ensure proper operation
• Uses necessary instruments and tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, V.T.V.M’s, bridges, computers, laptops and any other industrial electrical/electronic analyzing equipment and tools needed in carrying out responsibilities
• Sets up and uses rigging to handle tools and equipment, such as manlifts and cranes; climbs poles or uses mobile equipment to run, repair, modify, remove, clean, etc., power lines and all associated equipment
• Designs, prepares, modifies and maintains logs, reports, charts, schematics, prints and any other paperwork incidental to duties
• Maintains equipment, work areas, measuring instruments and tools
• Performs minor mechanical work such as removing covers, lids or obstructions prior to electrical repair work; performs cutting and welding; paints electrical/electronic panel, switchgear, motor windings, insulating equipment, control station, etc.

• Provide senior-level leadership and guidance to Project Managers (PMs) and General Foremen (GFs) to support successful project execution.
• Mentor and develop field leadership, including General Foremen and union supervisors, to drive strong performance and ongoing professional growth.
• Partner with the VP of National Operations to develop workforce planning strategies, labor forecasts, and project execution plans.
• Act as a key liaison between executive leadership, labor partners, union representatives, and clients to maintain strong working relationships.
• Oversee large-scale electrical construction projects exceeding $100M, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with quality standards.
• Review project scope, manpower plans, and budget expectations with field leadership prior to project kickoff to ensure alignment and preparedness.
• Identify potential project risks, challenges, and opportunities, and collaborate with project teams to implement effective solutions.
• Support the development and implementation of prefabrication strategies to enhance project efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure field teams leverage the most effective tools, technologies, and construction methods to maximize operational efficiency.

Job Requirements: 

• 12+ years of experience in electrical construction, with significant leadership experience overseeing large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects valued at $100M+ from planning through completion.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor field leadership, including Project Managers, General Foremen, and union field supervision.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction operations, including project scheduling, budgeting, labor planning, and risk management.
• Experience working in union environments and collaborating with union leadership and labor partners.
• Ability to develop and implement labor strategies, manpower planning, and project execution plans across multiple job sites.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership to drive operational efficiency and successful project outcomes.
