How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Provide expert perioperative nursing care for high-acuity patients, seamlessly transitioning between scrub and circulator roles to ensure surgical precision and patient safety.

  • Coordinate intraoperative clinical management by monitoring hemodynamics, documenting critical interventions, and facilitating clear communication within the surgical team.

  • Deliver advanced surgical assistance, actively supporting surgeons with hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and specialized patient positioning during complex procedures.

  • Optimize suite readiness and sterile integrity through the meticulous preparation of specialized instrumentation and life-saving equipment for rapid-response trauma cases.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
What additional preferences we're seeking
  • Minimum of 1 year OR experience 
  • Minimum of 1 year Trauma experience
  • Charge experience preferred

  • Prepare the theater of care by equipping the surgical suite with specialized sterile instruments and supplies, ensuring the team is ready for complex cardiovascular or neurological interventions.

  • Anticipate the surgeon’s needs by providing the correct instruments and supplies with precision timing, enabling the surgical team to maintain focus and momentum.

  • Champion patient safety by expertly assisting with the transport, positioning, and draping of patients to maximize clinical exposure while protecting their dignity and physical well-being.

  • Maintain surgical integrity by meticulously organizing and tracking instrument counts throughout the procedure to ensure 100% accuracy and prevent complications.

  • Support life-saving outcomes by assisting the surgeon in achieving hemostasis, playing a critical role in the stability and recovery of every patient.
