Job Requirements

  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) — required for all locum tenens CRNA roles
  • Active Michigan RN license (must have at time of application)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications — required
  • Clean malpractice and license history; recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) — required
  • Minimum 1 year of CRNA clinical experience in hospital-based anesthesia or equivalent (OR/trauma experience preferred)
  • Willingness to work varied shifts in an operating room / trauma environment
  • Membership in AANA — highly preferred
  • Experience with Epic EMR — preferred
  • Must be a local provider (mileage reimbursement available)

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, evidence-based anesthesia care for general surgical cases involving adult and geriatric patients
  • Deliver perioperative anesthesia services within a supervised CRNA model, including pre-op assessment, intraoperative management, and post-anesthesia care (PACU)
  • Manage airway, sedation, regional and general anesthesia as appropriate for assigned cases
  • Maintain accurate, timely anesthesia documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, RNs, and surgical techs to ensure patient safety and continuity of care
