What You'll Do
- Represent personal injury clients in court, mediation, and arbitration
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other documents
- Interview clients, witnesses, and other parties to build strong cases

- Maintain regular client communication to update on case progress

What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

This role is ideal for an attorney early in their career who is eager to build deep appellate experience while working closely with experienced practitioners on sophisticated matters in state and federal courts.
Position Overview
The Appellate Attorney supports appellate matters by conducting legal research, drafting briefs and motions, and assisting with appellate strategy. The firm offers strong mentorship, hands-on training, and increasing responsibility as skills develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Review trial court records and transcripts to assist in identifying appellate issues
- Conduct legal research and case law analysis
- Draft sections of appellate briefs, motions, and petitions under supervision
- Cite-check and edit briefs for accuracy and compliance with court rules
- Assist in preparing oral argument materials and participating in moot courts
- Track deadlines and ensure compliance with appellate procedural rules
- Collaborate with trial teams and senior appellate attorneys
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with at least one state bar
- 1–3 years of legal experience (appellate experience preferred but not required)
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Familiarity with state and/or federal appellate procedures is a plus
- Judicial clerkship experience is beneficial
