We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 72-day assignment in Washington, starting May 6, 2026. This role involves working 8-hour shifts at a cancer center, serving as the sole practitioner on site alongside an oncology RN and a part-time tele-oncologist. You will manage 12-16 patients daily, primarily established cases with some new referrals, and have access to additional support from providers at a main Cancer Center.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as the sole practitioner on site, collaborating with an oncology RN
- Work alongside a part-time tele-oncologist
- Access support from providers at the main Cancer Center as needed
- Manage 12-16 patients per day, allowing 30-minute visits for established patients
- Treat approximately 50% of patients on active treatment
- Manage primarily established patients, with some new referrals divided between locations
- Evaluate new patients after initial physician assessment, or handle new consults if comfortable

- 2 weeks per month
- 1 patient per shift
- Inpatient and outpatient rounding required
- Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy required
- Lower GI endoscopy required
- Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision required
- Foreign body removal required
- 7 am - 7 pm shifts
- We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly
