We are specifically recruiting a full time inpatient provider, who will become a member of a four provider inpatient team. This position will oversee clinical leadership of a multidisciplinary treatment team including psychiatric residents and medical students providing quality psychiatric care to an acute, adult inpatient population. The typical case load is 10-12 patients daily with an average length of stay of 5-7 days.

The position includes an academic appointment at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.

Requirements:

  • ABPN board certification or eligibility
  • Successful completion of accredited residency in Psychiatry
  • Skilled in interpersonal communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with patients and families.

proficiency in administering and interpreting cognitive (IQ) and academic achievement testing. This role plays a key part in supporting early identification and intervention planning for children with developmental and behavioral health needs.

Clinical Child Psychologist, experience and ability to treat children and adolescents who present with trauma and safety concerns, development delays, autism, and neurodevelopmental disorders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an APA accredited graduate school required.

Experience: Two years clinical experience which may include the year of internship required. The second year must be post-graduate and include supervision by a licensed Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Licensed by Virginia by the Board of Medicine as a clinical psychologist or by the Board of Psychology as a Psychologist (Clinical), or in West Virginia by the Board of Examiners of Psychologists required. Must have de-escalation training successfully completed within four months of hire and then maintained annually going forward when working in the inpatient environment.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Meets credentialing requirements. Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with physicians and other health care providers. Must have a commitment to continuing education.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

- 1-3 years of successful sales experience or success as a Staples B2B Sales Associate
- 3+ years experience in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM)
- Industry knowledge, a plus
