In clinic setting, provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Responsible for telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care. Schedules emergent need patient appointments, identifies learning needs for patients and families, provide advice and recommendations, inserts intravenous access with medication administration and duties as assigned based on clinic need. Delegates tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice. Subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing. Enters admission orders as directed by provider. Responsible for managing expired samples. Able to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously. Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times. Job Summary and QualificationsUnder limited supervision, the Interventional Technologist completes interventional procedures including routine arterial and venous interventional procedures well as complicated interventional procedures including stenting and cerebral coilings and procedures using contrast media.
What you will do in this role:
- Complies with principles of sterile technique.
- Collects and assembles data for database, outcome analysis and performance improvement.
- Responsible for carrying out any other activities assigned by the IR Supervisor or Imaging Services Director to ensure the department runs effectively and efficiently.
- The IR Tech-noncertified is required to participate in the on-call rotation and is required to respond within 30 minutes when on call.
What qualifications you will need:
Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology. Two-year program or four year BA program in Radiology Technology followed by training in interventional procedures either on the job or from in an accredited program setting.
- BLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within 6 months of hire.
- ARRT preferred
- Minimum of one year hospital department experience.
- On Call Required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
