The Department of Family & Community Medicine at Albany Medical College is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine Physician to join its faculty in an academic primary care practice, with a focus on resident and medical student education. The successful candidate will become part of an established community practice in beautiful upstate New York, based at Albany Family Medicine (Community Care Physicians). This position offers a wide range of clinical opportunities with privileges at both academic and community teaching hospitals.


 


Clinical and Educational Expertise. Our current faculty’s clinical expertise includes areas such as ambulatory primary care, geriatrics, sports medicine, outpatient procedures, inpatient medicine, osteopathic manipulative medicine, newborn care, gender-affirming care, opioid use disorder treatment, women’s health (with or without obstetrics), abortion care, and point-of-care ultrasound. As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will work alongside residents, pharmacists, and integrated behavioral health professionals.


 


Education is a cornerstone of our department’s mission, with faculty roles spanning both undergraduate and graduate medical education. Our 6-6-6 residency program holds ACGME accreditation with osteopathic recognition, and we are offering exciting opportunities in medical education. We specifically have roles in the Core Faculty with medical education responsibilities at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher (rank commensurate with experience) at Albany Medical College.


 


In this position, you will mentor and teach across the spectrum of learners, from medical students to residents and fellows.
