In Texas, there is a judicial process for validating the Gestational Contract (the contract between the intended parents and the surrogate). Included within the various requirements for having a Gestational Contract validated by a Texas court is that the intended parents must be married and the surrogate must have previously carried a child to term. Additionally, there are residency requirements that apply to either the surrogate or the intended parents, but not both.
Compensation for a surrogate services generally starts in the range of $35,000 - $40,000, for base compensation with over all fees up to 70k, in many cases. Position: Closing & Compliance Manager
Location: Calabasas, CA (Onsite)
Pay: 70-100k

We are seeking an experienced Closing & Compliance Manager to support legal, executive, and transactional functions within a growing real estate organization. This role plays a critical part in managing commercial real estate closings, entity compliance, and high-level administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Closing & Transaction Management
- Lead and coordinate closing checklist calls with sellers, lenders, builders, escrow, and title partners
- Manage execution of real estate and loan closing documents, including tracking approvals and ensuring timely delivery to escrow
- Serve as a central point of coordination between internal leadership, outside counsel, financial institutions, and title/escrow teams
Compliance & Entity Management
- Oversee entity administration, including assistance with formation and dissolution of project-level entities
- Manage annual filings and coordinate with tax and accounting partners
- Maintain critical date tracking and compliance calendars
Additional Support
- Provide direct support to senior legal and executive leadership
- Manage calendars, confidential correspondence, and scheduling for meetings, conferences, and calls
- Assist with general administrative needs while maintaining discretion and professionalism
Qualifications & Skills
- Associateβs or Bachelorβs degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, title, escrow, or closings
- Active Notary license required (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and related business software
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations, type size for rivets, hole pattern for rivets, cutand form plastics and follow standard operating procedures when using adhesives, sealants and solvents .
- Check all work and ensure a defect free assembly prior to final inspection .
- Mentor, train, and assist other team members in interpretation of blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders; develop methods and shop aids to resolve production installation difficulties and problems .
- Maintain and use all logs and records (e.g. MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs) .
- Align and assembles parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners .
- Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Request (MRR), Production Change Orders (PCO), performs necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity .
- Plan and organize workloads and resource requirements to meet or exceed goal hours and schedule expectations. Assist in overseeing projects or other technicians and assesses requirements of assigned tasks to procure required. materials and documentation for assigned tasks .
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supports the company 5S, Lean Initiative Program, and complies with all safety regulations .
- Support Lean Activities, comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies.
- Good working knowledge of computers and related software.
- Must be able to read and interpret blue prints.
- Must be skilled in close tolerance work and have knowledge of use of special tools and equipment. Should be able to use all tools required. to do the job.
- Must be able to use mathematical formulas by solving dimensional problems using fractions, decimal fractions and whole numbers.
- Thorough knowledge in the use of multiple measuring devices, demonstrated ability to use within specified tolerance.
- Must be able to work any shift.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders, stands, stairs and work in small spaces and/or restricted areas.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
