Support Specialists in the Stop Now and Plan (SNAP) program help children and families build skills to manage emotions and behaviors effectively. They provide case management by coordinating services, offering guidance, and ensuring families have the support they need. They work closely with caregivers and children to reinforce SNAP strategies, connect them to resources, and track progress toward positive outcomes. Their role is essential in helping families apply what they learn in SNAP to real-life situations, creating lasting change.
Case Management and Support:
- Serve as the primary contact for clients enrolled in SNAP
- Conduct intake assessments to understand family and child needs and goals

- Promptly reports civil or criminal convictions, charges, arrests, investigations, or adjudications that may arise since staff member's last background investigation. This includes but is not limited to sexual abuse in a prison, jail, holding facility, community confinement facility, juvenile facility, other institution (as defined in 42 U.S.C. 1997), or care provider facility; conviction of engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force, or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse; or who was civilly or administratively adjudicated to have engaged in such activity
- Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, sociology, psychology or related field preferred
- 2-5 years' experience working with children with externalizing behaviors
- Ability to navigate an online database, Microsoft Office
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have Act 33/34 and FBI clearances and valid PA driver's license

General Statement of Duties: This position will maintain primary responsibility for direct contact and intervention with families referred to by OCYF.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the practices and principles of the Evidenced Based Supervised Visit Coaching Model.
- Maintain focus on the child's safety and having the caregiver meet the child's needs.
- Address goals related to the reason for the child's removal from the caregiver.
- Establish pre-visit coaching sessions.
- Ensure that the caregiver/s are actively involved in the planning of the supervised visit.
- Provide coaching strategies during the visit.
- Facilitate a post-visit debriefing.
- Complete all required documentation within the specified time frame.
- When necessary, have a caseload within the Allegheny County In-Home Program and adhere to the requirements of the Family Counselor's job description.
- Collaborate with OCYF by attending Teaming and Conferencing meetings and court hearings when requested.
- Know and comply with all agency Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
- Follow office and agency HIPAA procedures.
- Maintains knowledge and follows responsibilities mandated by the Child Protective Service Law.
- Attend mandatory training.
- Obtain training related to child development, parenting education, addiction counseling, case management, mental health issues, personal safety, ethical issues, and crisis intervention.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Human Service Field.
- 2-3 years' experience in Social Services working with children and families.
- Must have Act 33/34 and FBI clearances and valid PA driver's license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to engage clients.
- Must be able to recognize signs and symptoms of addiction, mental health, and developmental concerns.
- Advocate for families within the court system
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.

- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must own a vehicle and maintain required insurance to provide services to families.

Duquesne Light is seeking a Scheduler to support our Customer Assistance Program (CAP). In this role, the scheduler will serve as the first point of contact for customers who wish to enroll in the program. The Scheduler is responsible for helping customers secure appointments and coordinating schedules across all CAP offices. By ensuring an efficient and welcoming process, this position plays a vital role in connecting customers with the resources they need to manage their energy services.
Essential Functions:
- Answer the dedicated phone line provided to Duquesne Light customers through Customer Service Representatives
- Greet customers and manage the waiting room area
- Make calls to customers referred by Duquesne Light
- Explain program requirements and outline items needed for CAP enrollment
- Place reminder phone calls when necessary
- Refer CARES home visits when appropriate
- Manage and follow up on missed CAP appointments
- Document all customer interactions and activities in the DLCO system
- Submit monthly reports to the supervisor by the 5th of each month
- Participates in program and agency development
Requirements:
- High School Diploma and previous experience working with customer relations.
- Two or more years of experience in Customer Service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask when completing daily responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook
