The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition consists of a dedicated team of professionals, including six board-certified pediatric gastroenterologists, one board-certified pediatric hepatologist, three nurse practitioners, five clinical nurses, and two dietitians. Our division takes pride in its ACGME-accredited fellowship program, which admits one fellow per year.
The Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Program at Children's Hospital of Michigan is consistently recognized as one of America's best in the U.S. News & World Report rankings for Pediatric Gastroenterology and GI Surgery Programs. Our division offers state-of-the-art technology for a wide range of procedures, including endoscopy, breath hydrogen tests, pH/impedance monitoring, capsule endoscopy, percutaneous gastrostomy tube placement, variceal banding, and sclerotherapy. Additionally, we provide comprehensive motility studies, such as esophageal and anorectal manometry. Endoscopic procedures are performed at our main campus and at Childrens Hospital of Michigan - Troy. Providers are on a block schedule. There are 13 blocks in a year.
Physicians clinical duties include:
15-25 inpatients per team, depending on the season
