Operations Manager – Distribution Center

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager is accountable for the daily execution, performance, and culture of a distribution center located near Twinsburg/Bedford Heights. This role sets the operational standard for the broader network by ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate execution across inbound, inventory, outbound, quality, and specialty shipping operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong ownership, consistent follow-up, and the ability to address performance and behavioral issues directly. The Operations Manager is expected to drive results through people—not around them.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Execution

• Own daily performance across inbound receiving, putaway, inventory control, quality assurance, and outbound operations (picking, packing, shipping)
• Lead staffing plans, scheduling, and labor allocation
• Monitor workflow, capacity, and throughput across all functions
• Enforce SOPs, policies, safety standards, and standard work
• Actively manage operational exceptions and disruptions
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop team leaders and reinforce a culture of accountability
• Pilot and test process improvements prior to broader rollout
• Manage operational spend including labor, supplies, packing materials, and facility-related costs

Labor, Staffing & Cost Control

• Workforce planning, scheduling, and labor optimization
• Monitor payroll vs. budget and take corrective action as needed
• Track and control material usage vs. budget
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing service or safety

Leadership & Culture

• Lead with a solutions-first mindset; challenges are expected to come with action plans
• Take ownership of results; avoid excuse-based thinking
• Demonstrate strong follow-up and follow-through
• Hold leaders and hourly team members accountable to expectations
• Personally handle difficult performance and behavioral conversations
• Do not defer people issues to inexperienced supervisors or leads

• Own and deliver site-level KPIs
• Investigate missed KPIs, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Review daily and weekly performance dashboards
• Partner with internal reporting teams to ensure accurate data
• Drive regular employee touchpoints, including:
• Supervisor-to-employee scorecard reviews
• 1:1s with managers and supervisors

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of distribution center or warehouse operations leadership experience
• Proven experience managing multi-functional operations teams
• Strong working knowledge of inbound, outbound, inventory, and shipping functions
• Demonstrated ability to lead people, not just processes
• Comfortable addressing performance and accountability issues directly
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing labor, productivity, and operational costs

Position Description: Quality System Manager

We are seeking a transformative leader to serve as the primary architect of our Quality Management System. In this role, you will bridge the gap between rigorous engineering standards and shop-floor execution, ensuring our electrical distribution equipment meets the highest benchmarks of safety and reliability. You won't just be managing a checklist; you will be building a culture where quality is a shared responsibility, directly impacting on our ability to power critical infrastructure across the globe.

Primary Duties:

• Lead the design, modernization, and long-term architecture of the company’s Quality Management System, transforming it into a streamlined, intuitive, and scalable framework that supports rapid manufacturing.
• Bridge rigorous engineering standards with practical shop-floor execution, ensuring quality expectations are clearly translated, consistently applied, and fully understood across all levels of production.
• Drive a shift from reactive quality control to proactive quality assurance, enabling issues to be identified and resolved at the point of origin.
• Reduce late-stage defects, rework, and test failures by implementing systems, training, and processes that prevent problems before they occur.
• Build strong partnerships with production, engineering, and operations teams, positioning Quality as a collaborative enabler of speed, precision, and problem-solving.
• Establish a culture where quality is a shared responsibility, with operators, technicians, and engineers demonstrating increased ownership and accountability.
• Maintain a state of continuous audit readiness by embedding compliance into daily workflows, ensuring internal and external audits are passed with minimal disruption.
• Implement data-driven decision-making within the QMS, using trends and insights to prioritize improvements and guide operational strategy.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration

Skills & Experience:

• 7-10+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering
• 3-5+ years specifically managing or owning a Quality Management System (QMS)
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, audits, and system modernization
• Strong background in ISO 9001, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement

Position Overview

We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations and ensure the efficient and effective management of all logistics activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire warehouse operation, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, and logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, and logistics coordination
• Develop and maintain warehouse procedures and policies to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
• Monitor and report on warehouse performance metrics, including inventory levels, order accuracy, and on-time delivery
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards

Work Schedule

• Primary Shift, Monday – Friday (8AM to 5PM) Occasional Saturday hours, and second shift support possible. (Facility has 2 shifts)

Qualifications

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in warehouse logistics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, inventory management, or warehouse maintenance is preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to safely operate and maneuver warehouse equipment in tight spaces.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and moving materials.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of WMS and other logistics management software preferred
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Certifications:

• Forklift or equipment operator certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Location & Travel:

• Ability to work at the assigned warehouse or distribution center location.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible in handling various warehouse tasks.
• Ability to work full-time, with flexibility for overtime as needed.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to safely operate equipment for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting and moving of materials, with a maximum weight of up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and reach to move materials and perform various tasks.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods when operating equipment or performing related tasks.

• Implement and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System following industry best practices with the goal of maintaining ISO 9001 certification.
