As an Assistant Federal Defender, you will provide legal representation to clients charged with federal offenses before federal magistrates and district courts in the Southern District of Indiana. Our typical caseload includes possession of guns and drugs, complex fraud, sex offenses, and immigration cases. You would carry an active caseload, visiting with your clients and their families, reviewing discovery, leading investigation, developing litigation strategies, drafting motions and briefs, and collaborating with the team here at IFCD. REQUIREMENTS:

This is an in-person position in Indianapolis. All applicants must have graduated from an accredited law school and be members in good standing of a state bar and eligible for immediate admission to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Preference will be given to applicants with at least three years of experience in federal criminal law, but experience is not required. Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment to indigent criminal defense or public interest law, have excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent research skills, and absolutely must work well on a team. They will rigorously pursue legal avenues to secure judgments and effectively follow up to collect on these judgments. Responsibilities:

• Review Accounts for Suit: Analyze delinquent accounts to determine suitability for legal action.
• File Suits in Court: Prepare and file legal documents and lawsuits against debtors in various courts.
• Attend Hearings and Trials: Represent the agency in court hearings throughout Indiana and trials in various counties, presenting evidence and arguments to secure judgments.
• Obtain Judgments and Garnishments: Pursue legal avenues to obtain judgments and enforce collection through garnishments and other approved means.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Indiana AND Kentucky, or Illinois or other states.
• Preference is given to applicants licensed to practice law in multiple jurisdictions. 
• Proven experience in collection or civil law litigation. 
• Strong knowledge of debt collection laws, regulations, and legal procedures.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nurse Practitioners provide longitudinal care and build meaningful patient relationships; this creates trust and helps our patients understand and feel connected to their care plan.

Nurse Practitioners practice in our outpatient practices on a collaborative care team composed of a physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant, medical assistants, a dedicated medical scribe, and support from registered nurses and care managers. We partner with a network of elite specialists and hospitals for specialty and acute care. As such, our healthcare providers can focus on care within the clinic: primary care, care coordination, and population health.

Core Responsibilities:

• Provision of exceptional primary care.
• Conduct office visits for routine and acute issues.
• Administer Annual wellness visits and health risk assessments, which require a holistic view of health and a focus on thoughtful, accurate, and specific documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• National certification in at least one of the following specialties:

• Active, non-probationary state Nurse Practitioner license
