About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Legal Secretary with extensive experience in commercial litigation to provide dedicated support to a senior litigation partner billing 3,000+ hours annually. This is a high-profile 1:1 assignment requiring exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex litigation calendars, deadlines, and correspondence with precision
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, discovery materials, and correspondence
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and internal teams professionally and efficiently
- Prepare and maintain case files and litigation databases with meticulous attention to detail
- Handle billing preparation and track partners’ time effectively
- Support the partner with trial preparation, conduct research, and document management as needed
- Willingness to work overtime during peak times to meet demanding deadlines
Qualifications:
- Minimum of several years of commercial litigation secretarial experience supporting senior partners
- Deep understanding of litigation processes and legal terminology
- Exceptional proofreading, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
Salary and Other Compensation:
The base salary for this position is between $80,000 – $110,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
