As a Controls Technician, you will become a key member of the Critical Facilities team and essential in ensuring the successful completion of complex projects. You will be responsible for designing and engineering, building automation and energy management systems based on local energy code and sustainability initiatives, project plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
You will also have the opportunity to:
- Responsible for analyzing system performance at a complete systems and campus level, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete
- Provide analysis of building control and mechanical system performance at multiple levels
- Create project-specific programming solutions to optimize building efficiency and performance
- Build custom front ends for end-users to interface with your system
- Interface directly with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other members of the project team
- Programming of complex DDC (Direct Digital Controls) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems to meet project specifications and mechanical systems requirements
- Develop your knowledge of project financials tracking through monthly audits and end of project reviews
- Provide feedback on company-wide standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Experience in the Automation Industry (Building Automation preferred)
- Experience with Allen-Bradley FactoryTalk - Experience with Controls (Delta + Alerton Preferred — other controls are welcomed)
- -Experience with Power SCADA Operations (PSO)
- Experience with basic programming concepts
- Degree in Engineering – Mechanical and Electrical Engineering are most common, but other disciplines are welcomed, too

Job Title: Safety Manager

Compensation:
Salary Range: $90,000 to $115,000 annually

Scope of Role:
This is a field-based Safety Manager position supporting commercial and industrial concrete construction projects throughout the Reno market. The role covers multiple active jobsites, including large-scale slab and data center construction projects. The Safety Manager works side-by-side with another Safety Manager and maintains a highly visible onsite presence with minimal office time. Established SOPs are already in place; the focus is on field execution, communication, and enforcement.
Qualifications:
OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 required with minimum 5 years of experience
Bilingual English/Spanish required (mandatory)
Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
Experience in commercial or industrial concrete construction preferred
Preferred: 4-year degree and/or BCSP certification (minimum CHST strongly preferred)
Strong communicator, not a "safety cop" approach
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide field safety oversight across multiple Reno-area concrete projects
• Conduct daily site walks, audits, and routine safety inspections
• Maintain visible presence with "eyes on crews" during active operations
• Enforce established safety policies and issue write-ups when necessary
• Support forming, finishing, tilt-up, cast-in-place, and high-performance slab operations
• Ensure strong communication between superintendents and management to prevent safety gaps
• Collaborate closely with fellow Safety Manager to maintain coverage and consistency

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

- Manage field documentation including daily reports, labor tracking, and material usage
- Drive project schedules and logistics, ensuring milestones are met
- Supervise, mentor, and develop field teams, typically overseeing crews of 10–20+ electricians
- Step in to support field work when needed and lead by example on the jobsite
- Partner with internal teams such as procurement, prefabrication, and accounting to support project execution
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in electrical construction with strong field leadership experience, multi-family project experience preferred
- Proven ability to successfully deliver projects on schedule and within budget
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, installation practices, and construction sequencing
- Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and safety standards
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
